JARED'S POV
"Tell me the truth, why are you still here? You can leave and run away; Demon won't see you," Venom asked, dodging an attack before facing me, his eyes questioning.
"Sky sacrificed his life for Demon. I can't ignore his sacrifice just like that. If anyone is going to kill Demon, it won't be anyone else but me," I answered, trying to keep my composure. When I glanced at Venom, I felt my anger flare. He had a smug smile that was infuriating.
I ignored him and plunged into the thick of the fight.
Demon is the cause of death of some masks I can't ignore that but Sky cost his life to Demon as well. I know Sky, I know that apart from the fact that he loves Demon, there are other reasons, Sky is not the type to go crazy with love, his reason is not just love.
"Hey, after this, we'll fight," Demon suddenly appeared at my side, then dashed to the center. She fought with a terrifying grace, playing with their lives as if it were a game.
"RAAAAWRRRR!"
My attention was drawn to the newly arrived enemies. They were grotesque, like monsters out of a nightmare. Their faces were twisted, bodies deformed from what looked like horrific experiments. They all moved with a single purpose: toward Demon.
I glanced at Venom, who was busy fighting, and then back at Demon. She had stopped fighting and was standing there with a demonic smile on her face. Her aura was terrifying, radiating an overwhelming killing intent.
I've never seen her like this before. She wasn't afraid; she was excited.
---
The monsters charged at Demon, their growls and snarls filling the air. She laughed, a sound that sent chills down my spine. With a swift motion, she launched herself at them, tearing through their ranks with brutal efficiency. Blood splattered across her face, but she didn’t flinch; she reveled in it.
One of the monsters lunged at her, and she met it head-on, her blade slicing through its grotesque form with ease. The creature let out a gurgling scream as it fell, and she kicked its body aside, already looking for her next target.
The place echoed with the sounds of battle, the clash of metal, and the roars of the monstrous enemies. I fought my way towards Demon, determined to reach her. As I did, I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the way she moved. She was like a whirlwind of death, an unstoppable force of nature.
One of the creatures, larger and more grotesque than the others, charged at her. She turned to face it, her eyes alight with a sadistic glee. With a powerful leap, she drove her blade into its chest, twisting it savagely. The creature let out a final, pitiful scream before collapsing at her feet.
She stood amidst the carnage, her breath coming in short, ragged gasps. Blood dripped from her blade, her face a mask of twisted satisfaction.
"Is this the best they can do?" she taunted, her voice dripping with contempt. "Pathetic."
As I approached her, I could see the madness in her eyes, the unquenchable thirst for violence. This was the real Demon, a creature of pure, unrelenting chaos.
---
Venom finally broke through the ranks of the monsters, joining us in the center. He looked at Demon, then at me, his expression grim.
"We need to end this," he said, his voice low. "Before she destroys everything."
I nodded, steeling myself for what was to come. We had to stop her, no matter the cost.
