First day kindergarten
My hands grazed over the worn scrapbook covered in glitter and beads. I laughed at my immaturity and my fingers started grazing 'Alex and Lilly together forever' spelt out in terrible cursive writing. Suddenly my window opened, which I was used to. Heavy steps sounded against the wooden floor of the attic but a soft and warm hand wiped a tear away from my cheek. I felt the bed dip down next to me. My head rested on his shoulder. He slid the book between us before opening it. The first picture was us on our first day of kindergarten. My finger lightly grazed the outline of his face, remembering exactly how we met.
~"But Mrs.Wilson I don't want to sit next to her girls have cooties!" Alex exclaimed. His mother giggled at his opinion as I frowned. "I don't have cooties!" I whined. I saw his eyebrows furrow in confusion before his eyes lit up and an ear to ear grin covered his face. "Well then I'm Alex!" He exclaimed as he held out his hand for me to shake. "I'm Lilly." I replied as I shook his hand. "Want to go play on the slide?" He asked and before I could reply he was dragging me. "Lets go!" He childishly cheered~
I zoned out of the memory before locking eyes with alex. "Gray shirt, black jeans and red shoes." Alex mumbled aloud. "What?" I questioned. "Thats what you were wearing. And your hair was in a french braid." He recited without looking at the picture. "You were wearing a dark blue shirt, light blue jeans and black shoes. I only know that because of the picture. How do you even remember that" I asked. "I remember that because it was the most important day of my life. I met my best friend as well as my girlfriend and she is sitting next to me. We hugged eachother before he flipped to another page.
