When Kari woke up she stretched, only to see that everyone else was asleep and one other thing. The child widened her eyes as she looked down to see that she was floating. She opened her mouth to scream but immediately stopped herself once she remembered everyone else was asleep. Kari gulped and grabbed onto a nearby tree branch and pulled herself towards the tree. She sighed then sniffed her clothing and gagged since she had not taken a bath yet. "Bleh, I smell worse than yesterday. How is that even possible? It should have at least lessened." She whispered to herself after gagging. Kari then slowly made her way to the nearby river, somehow, and began trying to figure out how to get down.

"Uh... Down... No. Land? Ground! Ugh... My mouth kinda feels weird." Kari grumbled then she sighed and pouted. "What the hell even is this?!" She grumbled, doing her best to keep calm so she would not alert any possible foes that might be lurking nearby. She then began to feel herself falling. Once she came to that realization she felt  pain in her rear. She yelped in pain then bit her scarf so she would not awake or alert anyone. She huffed then stood up and undressed, leaving on her scarf and the bandages around her right arm. She undid her hair then headed towards the river to get in, only to see something in her reflection. The child screamed in shock, alerting everyone near by. Kari panicked at what she saw, forgetting that she was trying to keep quiet. "Wh-what the hell?! I thought I some how got rid of these!" Kari growled, staring at the four odd fangs in her mouth. She gulped and poked at them then heard foot steps.

"Kari!" It was Kagome.

"Are you okay?!" And Sango. Kari gulped and looked around quickly. She jumped in the river, using her scarf to hide her mouth and nose. The child blinked at the smell of her scarf.

"My scarf didn't smell like this before?" Kari thought. "Or has it?" She sighed silently.

Once Sango and Kagome could see Kari, they sighed in relief. She was still here, but was she okay?

"Oh, hey." Kari waved, being sure her scarf kept covering her mouth and nose. The two approached her quickly with worried expressions.

"Did you get hurt?" Sango asked, inspecting the girl, moving her hair then lightly feeling her back. Kari jolted and backed away at the sudden touch on her bare skin.

"I'm fine!" Kari snapped. "Just-Just let me take a bath." She murmured. The two girls sighed and nodded, backing away then leaving. "Well, that was close." Kari sighed then looked at her reflection again. "My fangs must've grown back over night. But that's impossible." Kari murmured to herself. "I thought I dulled these suckers down when I was six with a filer." Kari sighed then felt eyes on her. She shivered and sank into the river in an attempt to hide.

"Finally. After searching for so long, I've finally found one." A voice called from above. The voice sounded like nails scraping across sandpaper. Kari shivered then looked towards the voice. She widened her eyes upon seeing a floating head with large teeth that did not fit in his mouth, red skin, blood shot eyes, and long black hair. Kari growled and reached to her wrists and began to click her ankles to get her weapons ready to fight, but she remembered she had taken them off for her bath. The floating head laughed. Kari growled.

"What do you want? Wait, one what?" She hissed, her eyes showing a faint glow.

The head blinked then floated to be inches from Kari's face. "Your power. Your power is what I want, child." Kari tilted her head and opened her mouth to ask what the head meant, but as she opened her mouth only a loud scream of pain escaped. The head bit down on Kari's shoulder, blood dripping onto his tongue. Kari growled and began to fight back, punching and kicking at the demon, but he floated away with a chuckle. "Your blood has so much power in it." He stated with a hum while glowing and licking his lips. Kari gulped at what he said. "Maybe I'll take some more."
