Chapter Eight

Vella's POV

I pushed myself away from the kiss, this was not right, not at all. "Johnny what the hell was that?!" I slowly backed away from him. "Did I do something wrong, Madaline?" He asked. Oh crap, I thought.

"I'm not Maddie..." I confessed. His eyes widened, I can tell that he was definitely fooled. "You're not? Then where-" We realized that Madaline is gone. "Oh no, come with me Johnny." I said as we ran to the front of the house and went looking for Madaline.

Madaline's POV

"Miss me?" He asked and laughed loudly. I bit the palm of his hand and he yelled in pain, letting me go. "Why do you always hurt me?!" He shouted. "Well for one thing, you're kidnapping me! I have the right to hurt you!" I argued as he tackled me down to the floor.

"All I want is a hot broad, and I have one right under me." He breathed heavily. "My god, you're so desperate." I snarled and he slapped me, hard. I swear, I really hate Socs.

"Why can't you just go away and leave me alone?" I asked him, dragging myself away from him. "Yeah, why don't you leave her alone?" I heard a few footsteps behind me. J-Johnny?

"Why should I?" The Soc growled. "Because... If you don't, then you're dead meat." I listened to the sound of Johnny switching out his switchblade, and watched the Soc run away. I just sat there on the pavement, slowly looking back. I was right, it was Johnny, with Vella next to him.

"Madaline... I-" He stopped talking right when I quickly got up and hugged him firmly, burying my face onto his shoulder.

"I'll leave you two alone." Vella smiled as she walked back to the house. Johnny tilted my chin up, looking deep into my sky blue eyes. He pressed his lips against mine, passionately. It lasted for a good two minutes. When he pulled away from the kiss, he smiled adorably, I can't get over how cute it is.

Thump, thump.

I could hear my heart beating sort of quickly. There was something about Johnny that gave me butterflies in the pit of my stomach. Yup... I totally got the hots for Johnny, I contemplated as Johnny took me back to the house.
