A new beginning

Hiccup's Pov
I walked to my dorm dodging students that stood in the hallways. Once I was in the quiet peaceful room that I have been for almost four years of my life, I can finally breath from the chaos that's outside, with the new students arriving for this school year.
I still couldn't believe I was already moving to my fourth year of university already. Almost four years ago I arrived at this school in Washington Dc.
I wanted so bad to move out of that town were I would feel miserable all the time. I decided to study business management abroad in Dream Disney University since my parents want me to take over the family business . At first my parents were skeptical about the idea of me moving but soon they gave in thinking it was best. And well here I am, Hiccup Haddock,age 21 with my pet cat toothless and my normal daily life, nothing extraordinary to brag about. I chuckled to myself when I started to summarize my life in my head.
I sat in the couch and was about to take a nap when I hear the door burst open and close with a slam. I peek with one eye open and sure thing it was Jack. Jack has been my friend since I got here in this university and was the first one to approach me and after that we became best buds along with other friends.
He had a funny look in his face as if he did something mischief or added trouble to some poor person again . I went back to closing my eyes but was interrupted by jack's chuckle and I saw him look through the doors peek hole. I sigh and go back to concentrate on my nap. But a few seconds more he chuckles again. I roll my eyes at his childish action.

"What did you do this time Mr. Jackson Overland." I ask with my eyes still close.

"Ooooh, nothing really, just that I locked Elsa in a storage room and put a stank bomb inside." He laughed again at his childish act.

I opened my eyes to see him have a look as if to say he just won a gold medal for such an idea.

Jack has liked Elsa since his second year of college at first they started off the wrong foot in first year but soon during second year they became good friends and suddenly jack came to me one day and told me he liked Elsa. I just shrugged and said okay, but of course his my best bud so I encourage him and help him in his troubles but I really don't mix in with those stuff. I just watch from the sidelines.

" Dude that's not a way to get the girl that'll just make her mad and hate you. We both know you like her or even say love her and this is the best u got. Just tell her and stop trying to tell her by doing mischief and teasing her."

"Pffffft please Hiccup I got this, just leave this too me, Jackson Overland the great master of fun!................WAIT HOLD UP did Hiccup Haddock just advice me in love!?"
"THE Hiccup, Mr. I don't care about love, just said I should confess my love to Elsa...omg..are u feeling okay bro?" Jack started to laugh

I roll my eyes and flop back in the couch and try to close my eyes once again.
"Don't push it Overland, I was just stating the fact and the outcome."

"Aaaand your back....but mark my words Hiccup, there will be someone out there, a pretty nice girl because I'll admit your not bad looking BUT NOT as good as me but not bad. And that girl will have the guts to break down those walls you have there and let me tell you this whoever girl does that, is the one."

"Yeah sure, now let me take a freakin nap!"
I groan as I grabbed a pillow.

Jack rolled his eyes and left to his room.

I placed the pillow in my face and fell to a deep sleep.

================================Merida pov
"I'm going to be late!!!!" I rushed through the house as I quickly looked for my phone and anything that I forgotten to packed.

"Merida dear your going to be late!!!"

"I'm coming father, I can't find my phone!"
I felt my heart quicken as I searched and searched and that damn phone couldn't be found.

"Your phone? But Merida I saw you put it in your bag."

"Wha...ugh it's these nervous emotions mother." I said as I search for my phone in my bag and sure enough it was there.

"Don't worry my dear everything well be fine.We should probably get going, the airport can get busy this time of year."

Me and my family all head out and drive to the airport. I couldn't believe that only a few months ago I was fighting my parents about their decision about marriage since I was 21 they thought it would be perfect for me to tie the knot with some business partner name Dingwall. Since I was 18 my parents would force me to marriage until I told them I wanted to study business management to be able to take over the company one day. That is until I turned 21, once again they were forcing me more but I didn't given in, I always thought love was for the weak and it was foolish. So my parents gave me a choice to get married or go and study abroad in Washington Dc, in Dream Disney university. I of course choose to study abroad. So here I am Merida Dunbroch, age 21, heading to Washington Dc for my fourth year of college.

I sigh as the airport came to view, I wanted to stay home but the circumstances where making me choose a path I really didn't want to go. I felt like I was really going to miss home and everything that Scotland is.

As I got off the car I already felt homesick but I tried my best to keep a straight face. My father got my things from the back of the suv, while my mother kept rambling about being safe and not forget to be a "proper lady" I tried my best to listen but I still found it annoying.

"Well Merida this it, I really hope you have a safe school year and to have fun and not forget to call...." My mom started to get teary.

"Merida my dear... I will miss you my wee lass and take care wherever you go and if anything happens do call." My father said while looking sad and the urge of tears.

"I'll miss you guys too, I promise I'll call often and I even promise to stay out of trouble, but I won't be alone I'll be with Elsa......so I guess this is good bye..."

With that we all hugged and even my devil wee brothers started to cry. I laughed at that.

"MY brothers are actually crying, well that's something you don't see everyday." I chuckled

My brothers pouted but soon gave me a hug, after that we all said goodbye once again.
I started to walk but turned around and waved once more and then I started to walk away again.

"Merida!" I heard my mother yell

I turned around and looked at my mother hoping she would tell me that I didn't have to go and I don't have to marry that I can stay and have my freedom but....

"Don't forget to smile." She pointed to her lips that were in a smile form.

For the sake of it I decided to smile back and I turned around and walked in.

I stood in the waiting line, waiting for my group number to be called. My parents insisted me to take the family private jet but I refused, I didn't want to be seen as a snobby person but my parents kept insisting so I told them I'll at least fly in first class, they had finally agreed to that.

As I waited in line my phone vibrated and I checked to see who it was.

I smiled at her text message and finally the flight attendant told everyone it was time to aboard the plane, I quickly put my phone away and got ready.

As I sat in my chair and looked out the window and saw Dunbroch, I couldn't help but wonder what stuff awaited me in my new home. I exhaled and put a determined face as the plane took off and Scotland was left behind.
