"Ugh, I don't want to get up."
Merida squinted at the light coming through her window she forgot to close last night. She pulled her covers over her head trying to get another 10 minutes.
Ring ring...
Merida grunted at her phone and quickly declined the call not bothering to see who it was. She snuggled back in her bed content.....
"Ring ring ring...
Merida fully annoyed grab her phone and clicked receive.
"What! Damn it! Who is this!"
"Merida! How can you answer your cellphone like that!"
"Mum?!" Merida eyes widened.
"Of course it's me lass! Didn't you see my name on the screen."
"Sorry I was..half asleep."
"By my-...you where still sleeping! Merida what kind of responsibility do you possess. Me and your father didn't agree to send you across sea for you to just sleep in!"
"Mum." Merida rested her hand in her cheek, hearing her mother's lecture
"Mum."
"Yes?"
"I don't have classes today."
"Oh, why not?"
"It's one of my days off but I still have assignments to finish." Merida gave out a yawn.
"Well I just called to see how you were, since you haven't gave us a call."
"I know and I'm sorry I just have been busy with classes and assignments."
Elinor sighed.
"Just remember to give us a quick call let us know you are ok."
"I will, promise."
"So, have you met any new friends or anybody...special?"
"Muum!!" Merida rolled her eyes at her mother's comment.
"Don't you roll your eyes at me lass! I'm just asking, nothing wrong with that."
"I know! But I don't like it." Merida pouted her lips in disagreement.
"Fine, I won't ask any further. I was actually thinking about your upcoming vacation. I told your father that it would be nice if you came and invited your friends as well, to stay a couple of days in our place."
"I doubt they would want to. They probably want to see their family, not just mine."
"Oh Merida, it would only be for a couple of days not the whole three weeks."
"I don't know, I would have to ask them."
"We'll ask them and let me know. So I can prepare our guest bedrooms beforehand."
"Yes mother."
"Very well dear. I'll let you be so you can start your day and DON'T go back to sleep. It's not good for you to waste a nice day!"
"Yes mum."
"Good. I'll talk to you later! Remember no slouching! Love you! Bye!"
*sigh* "Love you too."
Merida beep the end call and gave out another sigh. Her eyes went from the sunlight in her window to her pillow. Ignoring her mother's command, she quickly got inside her covers and snuggled into her pillow letting sleep take over once more.
——————————————————————————
"Really!"
"Mhm, only if guys want too. I know you guys want to spend time with your family, so you're not force too. I won't get sad or anything. My mom just thought it would be nice I guess." Merida munched on her fruit loops, looking at her friends excited expressions.
"You kidding! I'll definitely not pass this opportunity to know more about you! Count me in!" Rapunzel squealed in delight.
"I would have to buy thank you gifts...also maybe practice my baking...yes that would win them over...want to be a good friend...."
The girls looked at Rapunzel starting to ramble on and on of how she should make a good impression.
"Wait! Can we invite the guys! I think that would be more fun! Don't you think!?" Anna suggested excitedly as she look at Elsa and Merida.
"Anna! You can't just invite others. Merida's mom was kind enough to invite us. We can't just tag other people without asking." Elsa argued.
"Yes but she did say her "friends" and the guys are technically her "friends". I mean we all hang out, doesn't that consider all of us "friends"." Anna smirked and winked at Elsa which left her sister without any good comeback.
"That's what I thought sis." Anna crossed her arms in triumph, Elsa just rolled her eyes.
"Anna is right. We could ask them." Merida shrugged.
"Only if you want to. We don't want to be a burden to you or your family."
"It's alright Els, my mother loves guest and my father, well you know him, his completely chill. There's nothing to worry about. I actually think it would be fun."
"Good! We'll just ask the boys next time we see them and you know what that means it's time to pack our bags!" Anna clapped happily.
"It's one month away Anna." It was Elsa's turn to cross her arms.
"Ugh! Right."
Merida felt happy inside knowing she would actually have friends over at her place. She waited so much for this day to come and she couldn't be more happier. Of course she couldn't never say that out loud but she let out a small smile as she looked at her friends arguing on what movie to watch. She was glad that for once she had a little freedom to enjoy what it felt like to have friends.
