Because the stars never shoot, I'll aim for the moon
Why not, it'll be up soon
I wish I could wish on the moon
And the man in it, wrapped in his own bright cocoon
I wonder if that cow lives on the moon
You know, the one from the nursery rhyme with the dish and the spoon
There's so many faces-I mean phases-of that moon
A single wish on one is sure to come true
Stars? I mean, why wish on something that can't be up at noon?
Because the stars never shoot, I'll aim for the moon
