There's desperation in my voice tonight
I want to give those people the will to fight
Because I know they've been struggling all night
Trying to tell themselves wrong from right
There's a reason that I speak this fast
They're holding on and they can barely last
You think you've had it tough, take a look at their past
See it now, they're people made of broken glass
There's a message in these words you hear
Find those people, and keep them near
Fix them up and hold them dear
Because all this time they've lived in fear
There's a person sitting next to you in the stands
Look them in the eyes and take their hands
Put a smile on their face and make it grand
Because who they are shouldn't be banned
