Candace was gone and I found myself cleaning my house. I know that his plane has already landed her and it was a matter of time before he would come. I jumped when there was a knock on my door. I quickly went to my door, praying it was someone other than Dustin. Luck was not on my side.
"Michelle." Dustin said when the door opened.
"Dustin." I said.
"Can I come in?" Dustin asked. I sighed, but moved aside anyway knowing I just wanted this to be over with. Dustin walked through and I shut the door. I followed him and he went to the living room. He looked around the room. I watched his head turn to the Candace's chest of toys. He looked there for a few minutes before looking around the rest of the room.
"What are you doing here Dustin?" I asked.
"There is something I've be-" Dustin started to say, but he was cut off by someone walking into the house.
"Babe? Are you home?" I heard a voice call out. I know that voice. I just wish he picked a better time to come over.
Daniel.
Daniel came into view. Dustin looked from me to him and then back.
"Who is this?" Dustin asked.
"Daniel. He's my-" I started to say, but he cut me off.
"I'm her boyfriend."
