*Emily's POV*

I woke up refreshed in my bed. It was Toby's and my 1 year anniversary. With everything going on and the medication he was taking, I didn't expect him to remember. I knew he cared as much as I did and I didn't need a fancy date or flowers to prove it. Then I thought of something unfortunate... My mom had to work. I told her I'd get my job at Forever 21 back, but she said there was no need. For once in our life, we were comfortable financially. We still may have not gotten everything we wanted, but we sure have everything we need. I smiled and sat up. My feet swung over the the side of my bed and I got up. When my feet hit the cold floor, I stepped on something.

When I looked down, there was a path of rose peddles. I got my blanket, wrapped it around me, and began to follow the path. I lightly stepped over the peddles that lead out the driveway. I had dropped the blanket that was around my shoulders on my porch. I looked around confused and then I saw a note. The note read: Remember? This is where we first met. This exact spot. Never could've we guessed we'd be where we are now. Happy 1 year bub. I love you. Now, head to the spot we first kissed. ~T Next to the note was an expensive perfume I'd really been wanting but couldn't afford to waste the money on. There was a trash bag next to it. I guessed that was where I was putting everything so I placed it in there, smiled, and practically ran to the docks. When I got there, I found another note along with a big box. I read the note: We've had some of the best, and worst times here. Whenever I'm with you I feel like I can be myself, like I don't have to impress anyone or be fake. I love you. Continue your journey to the spot we got together. See you soon. ~T I smiled to myself thinking of the time he chased the geese after we kissed and of the times we'd spent here together. He can come off to people 100 different ways, but until you really get to know him like I do, he's the sweetest, most kindest person anyone can have the pleasure of knowing. He's quiet but loud and goofy at the same time. I loved everything about him. So I guess you can say he does have 100 different personalities, but not the ones that people think he does. I then opened the box. Inside was a simple dark purple, strapless, sweetheart-neckline dress I'd been looking at too. It was beautiful. Tears fell from my eyes just looking at it. I got up, added the box and note to my bag, and headed to the beach.

Since I'd been there so many times, I went to the exact spot and dug in the sand a little. I knew him all too well. I pulled out the note and the very small box next to it. The note read: Well, you found it! Hope it didn't take you too long;) I chuckled and continued reading. Anyway, this spot right here was where my life started exactly a year ago. I'm so thankful that you're apart of my life. You have my heart forever. I promise, only two places left, but for the first stop, I need you to go to the place we first had dinner. Ask for Sarah. Love you. ~T I then opened the box. It had a new pair of sterling sliver posts. They were beautiful. He must've heard me mention that I needed a new pair. I headed to the restaurant, still realizing I still had yoga's and a t-shirt on. At least my hair was straightened down from the night before. When I got the Sunset Grill, I nervously asked for Sarah. She came out and smiled at me. She was pretty, early 20's, and blonde. She also had a big, pretty smiled. "Hi, Emily?" I nodded. "Yes." She handed me a shoe box and the note on top. "You've got a good guy there." I smiled and nodded. "I do... Thank you." I then took the note and the box out of the restaurant and sat on a curb in the parking lot.

I softly read the note out-loud: I miss you but I'll see you soon because you're almost done! Xoxo. I have our whole night planned. You'll love it. I love YOU. Your final destination is Toppings. Ask for Jack. He'll help you. ~T When I opened the box, there were a pair of flats that were all sliver and sparkly. They matched my earrings perfectly. I tried one on and they fit just perfect. I smiled wide and slowly headed to Toppings thinking about my life throughout the past year. When I got there, I was lucky enough to see Jack at the counter. "Hi. I'm Emily. I was-" "Yes! I have it." He reached under the counter. He pulled out a little gift bag and another note. He handed me it. "Thank you."
