*Emily's POV*

I woke up like I haven't in a really long time - wrapped up tightly in Toby's arms. It was just the two of us and the house was very quiet, with the exception of rain hitting the roof. My head lightly rested in the crook of his neck and my arm was sprawled out across his warm, bare stomach. I could lightly feel his warm breath on my forehead and I knew mine was hitting his shoulder and just below. Our legs were tangled together, along with our feet. I was super comfy with my body wrapped up in the big t-shirt and sweats he'd let me borrow last night. I softly kissed his cheek and went straight back to bed.

I woke up for the second time to soft kisses along my neck. I playfully laughed. "Good morning beautiful." I kissed his cheek. "Good morning." "Sleep well?" I smiled. "The best I have in weeks." "Good." "Well, why don't I go down and make us so hot chocolate?" I nodded. "Okay," I replied sweetly shifting a little. I rested on my pillow and closed my eyes. I knew a smile remained on my face. I felt his presence towards me but I kept my eyes shut. He pulled the covers over my shoulders a little more and kissed my forehead. "You just stay in bed baby." I giggled a little, not being able to tell if he was being serious or sarcastic.

*Toby's POV*

By the time I came upstairs, Emily was softly snoring. She was such a cute sleeper. My parents were out for the day shopping for new summer supplies. Riley and Connor went out with Thomas and Braiden. For once, I had the house to myself. Yeah, today could just be me and Emily's day. I gently set the tray down on my nightstand and crawled back into bed. I spooned into her. I'm not going to lie, I was a little disappointed last night didn't go as I had a small hope it would, but I'd never pressure her into doing anything she didn't want. I knew not to take it personal either, she just isn't ready nor does she want to do any of that right now. I didn't even know if I was ready, I guess my body just took over control. I was soon broken from my daze when I heard Emily's phone beep. I lightly reached over her to check it. It was Grace. Hey Em. Just textin' to see how everything went yesterday. I got kind of worried since I never heard for you last night. Hope that boy didn't knock you unconscious if you know what I mean ;) I chuckledat the text. Grace really had no filter whatsoever.

I set it back beside her. Most girls would get mad if their boyfriend took their phone when they got a message, but we're not like 'most'. I let her see my phone whenever and the same went with her. We had 100% trust in each other. Just as I set her phone down, her eyes opened, she smiled, and began to stretch. "I'm sorry. How long was I out for?" I shook my head. "Not long. Grace just texted you. I just looked to make sure everything was okay." She smiled. "Thanks." She then picked it up and blushed. She looked up me strangely. "Did you read this?" I chuckled a little. "Sorry, you know she has no filter." We both laughed and I took her hand. "Hey baby, I'm sorry again for last night. I wasn't thinking. I... I wanna wait too." She gave me an 'it's okay' smile and planted her soft hand on my cheek. She kissed the other softly. "Thank you."

All day, we laid in my bed and watched old family movies from when I could barely talk. We shared a lot of laughs and she said a very few sarcastic comments. Hurtful, but clever. I loved her and I couldn't stop thinking that one day, we'd have family films of our own - with our kids. I'm not trying to wish my life away whatsoever, but I couldn't wait to the day we said I do.

*Connor's POV*

I sat there looking at Thomas, waiting for an answer. "What are you gonna do?" "I don't know. What should I do?" She put a hand on my shoulder and looked at me straight in the eyes. "Only you, my friend, can decide that." I watched him jog out the the room with a satisfied look on his face. I dialed her number. I was disappointed to find her voicemail after the third ring. "Hey it's Megan. Leave a message and I'll get back to you." "Hey, it's me. I miss you... Anyway, I decided and... I-I want to come to the show but I need to know if you want me there... Call me back. Love you." Just as I got up, I received a message. It was from her. Sorry, in rehearsal... Connor, of course I want you there. I'll see you soon.

*June 25th*

*Riley's POV*

I smiled when I saw her beautiful face appear on the screen. "Baby," I spoke breathlessly, "you look gorgeous." She smiled slightly and blushed a bit, but I could tell she was still upset. "Please don't be mad, I'm sorry." There was nothing said. "I know a solution... A- a compromise." "Go on." "On our one year, we'll tell everyone." She bit her lip and thought for a minute. "Alright." "Happy anniversary baby," I smiled out widely. "Happy anniversary."

*Connor's POV*

"There'll be two tickets and backstage passes at the box office for you. I'll see you tomorrow... Goodnight." "Goodnight Meg." I headed downstairs to find Emily and Toby making out on the couch. "OH MY GOD!! THIS IS MY HOUSE TOO!" Emily practically jumped off Toby and started to giggle. "You scared me!" "You scarred me." She came into the kitchen and punched me. "Shut up." "Make me." She started to try and beat me up before Toby came over and broke us up. "Come on, let's go upstairs," Toby spoke sleepily. "Wait.. Em!" They both looked at me. I gave her a look she was familiar with, stating that we needed to talk. She let go of his hand. "I'll be up in a minute," she whispered. He moped up the stairs and she came towards me. "I have a favor to ask you." "Sure, what's up?" "Will you please go with me to see Megan tomorrow night? She's playing a little ways from here and I don't really wanna ask either of my brothers to go with me or really even tell them any of this... Please?" She smiled. "Of course." "Have you ever heard them?" She chuckled and pulled out my phone. She proceeded to show me the 30 songs of theirs' downloaded on her phone. I laughed. "Great! Well, I'm sure she'll love to meet you!" She smiled. "I'm realyyyyyyy excited." I chuckled again and began to walk with her back upstairs. "Try not to fangirl too hard."

I went in my room and she went over to Toby's. I heard her sneak out around 2. I envied their relationship so much. Sure, they had too much PDA some times, a lot of time actually, but they were in love and so right for each other. He loved her so much and she felt the same towards him. They had something I never saw before in my life. Everyday was something new with them. Sure, they fought and broke up a few times, but what strong couple doesn't? One day, I hope Megan and I get like that. I was in love with her and will be everyday of my life.

Around 4 the next day, I got ready, and went to Starbucks to grab Emily and I coffee. We managed to tell Toby we were going shopping to get Megan's birthday present and have some 'bonding time'. He questioned us a few times and then finally laid off and said okay. "Hey Con-Con." I shook my head at her. "No... But hey." "You excited?!" "Yes, but I'm so nervous." She fixed the collar on my jacket as she took her Starbucks. "I can tell... Don't be! You're gonna be fine!" "Thanks," I sighed out, "we should seriously get going though. The show starts at 6 and it's about a 30 minute drive." She grabbed her keys and took my arm. "Let's go. BYE MOM! SEE YOU LATER!" "BYE SWEETIE, BE SAFE," she back yelled as we walked out of the door. "You like my outfit?! It's from their collection!" I chuckled. "You look very... mace." "Awe, thank you," she said jumping in the car.

The whole way there, we jammed out to the 'Bad For Me EP' to get ready for the show. When 'Closer To Me' came on, she looked at me as if she'd seen a ghost. I looked back at her and turned it to the next track. She sat back in her seat. "I'm-" "It's fine." For a few minutes, there was a silence between us. Honestly, I couldn't listen to that or Long Distance. Megan couldn't sing them onstage because she got too upset. Why did it have so hard? When we finally got there, I fixed myself with my beanie, sunglasses, and oversized grey 'Florida State' hoodie. We both got out of the car. "How do I look?" "Not like Connor." "Good, I don't want to be recognized. Psh, that'll sure start a lot of stuff." She nodded. "Smart." "Let's try to pretend that the half hour or so we spend in line that we don't know each other. You could be recognized too, you know." She smirked. "These are the moments where I love being known as 'Toby McDonough's girlfriend'. I feel famous too." I chuckled. "You are and will be even more when everyone hears that voice of yours," I nudged her, "good job Em!" "Thanks," she giggled out.

Within 3 minutes of being in line, a group of girls recognized Emily. "Hi, are you Emily Smith?" I saw her smile widely. "I am." "Oh my God. We're huge fans!" "Awe. You girls!!" They all began to laugh. "Can we get a picture with you?" "Psh, course!" She shrieked. "Is Toby here too?!" "Nah, he couldn't make it. I came alone. I love Megan and Liz!" "Oh, so Connor isn't here either," another one spoke in disappointment. "No, he's not." "That's too bad. Megan would've probably liked that. Are they still in love like everyone says?" "I really don't know. Connor and I are close but we don't really talk about it." They nodded, talked some more, took the picture, and gave her goodbye hugs. When she got back by me, she leaned over. "Was that okay... What I said back?" I nodded and gave her a sly thumbs up. Finally, the line moved and we were let in. The opening act was pretty good. I didn't really even pay attention though, I was too excited. We were in the very front. I couldn't wait to see my baby! It's been what seems like forever.

As soon as she walked onstage, our eyes met. It was an indescribable moment. The feeling in my heart made me realize that all the time I'd spent waiting to see her was all worth it. "Hey Orlando," Liz yelled in the mic while Megan struggled to look away. When she did, she started talking and glanced over every 10 seconds or so
throughout the show. Everything was great. She was amazing, along with Liz of course, and they seemed to be getting even better onstage. "Okay, now comes the time to pick one fan to come up, give us any two songs, and we'll make them into one as best as we can, right on the spot. So... Who wants to come up?" Everyone started to scream and they finally picked a girl - third row center. Megan and Liz greeted her once she got onstage but when they asked her for her songs, she replied "hmm.... Can you do Closer To Me and Long Distance? Those are my favorites and they seem to be pretty easy to put together!" My heart dropped and it looks like Megan's did too. I knew she couldn't perform them, especially with me there. I honestly didn't know if I could even bare to watch her preform them. I knew her too well and she knew me just the same! Hell, she recognized me right off-the-bat in this dumb disguise. She looked at me and then looked at Liz. She then nodded at her. "Okay," Liz yelled out happily. The crowd went wild. Megan began to strum her guitar as the sun made it's way down. "Too many memories and phone calls, t-too many pictures of you on the walls, and not enough of you in my arms, oh." Her concentration was mainly on the ground and even though I was a few feet away and her head was down, I still saw the tears that were appearing in her eyes. "I count the seconds with my heart-heart beat, I closeeee my eyes and... and..." Everyone looked around at each other confused but I knew what was happening. She looked straight at me with tears running down her cheeks, stopped for a moment as Liz tried to calm her, and ran offstage. Emily tried to stop me but I ran right after her as fast I could.

*Megan's POV*

I ran - no, I sprinted off the stage. I felt like a baby, running and crying but I couldn't handle seeing him and singing those songs. I ended up finding a spot behind the venue on the grass where no one would see or even come to find me. I curled up in the corner and threw my arms around my legs. I buried my head in between my knees that I couldn't feel from my skinnies and just let it all out.

After about 5 minutes of crying, I heard someone breathing heavily. My head immediately shot up to find a hunched-over, out of breath Connor. He looked at me and walked towards me. I stood up as he approached me. When he got to me, instead of saying the words he was about to, he grabbed my face and kissed me and I just let him. I kissed him back with all I had. All the love I'd ever felt for him I put into that kiss. He was the one I wanted. He was the one I loved. He was the one I needed.
