*Emily's POV*

My knees felt weak and all that ran through my mind was the argument I had had with Toby about Tripp after we got into a fight and he came over a while back. "First, why was Tripp here last night?" "Because he's my best friend? I mean come on Toby. Do you really think I'd do anything?" "No but I know what he thinks about you." "What does he think Toby?!" "I know he loves you!!" I couldn't believe Toby was right. He actually loved me? This was going to ruin everything. "Emily, say something." "I-I-I don't know wh-what to s-say." He took my hand and dragged me behind the stage. "Emily, say you love me back! I know it's wrong but we'll get through it together! I know you have Toby, but I don't have anyone and it's gonna stay that way until you're mine." I stood there still in utter shock that this was happening. How could I be so blind to all his hints? I always thought it was just like brother and sister. That's all it was ever was to me. "I'm-I'm sorry, I don't feel that way... About you. I'm-I'm in love with, with Toby and you're, Tripp you're like my brother!" "Emily stop that! This relationship is more than just friendship. It was never just a 'brother and sister thing'." "Tripp... That's all it's ever been. I love Toby. I'm sorry," I said running as fast as I could to Toby. When I got to him, I ignored everyone else and just jumped into his arms. "I love you." "You were amazing up there," he continued by securing his hands around my waist and kissing my forehead, "I'm so proud of you! I love you, too." I kissed his cheek. "We gotta talk later." "Everything okay?" I nodded. "We just gotta talk about something, not us, just something else." "Okay, thank God." I smiled and pulled away from him as I greeted the rest of my family.

*Tripp's POV*

I stood there behind the stage as Emily ran from me. 3 years I've been waiting to tell her and now, there's a chance we'll never speak again. "You okay man?" Tony cam up to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I told her." "Told who wh-" "I told Emily I was in love with her." I still blankly stared ahead of me. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" "I couldn't wait anymore." "Toby's gonna kick your ass!!" I jumped in front of him, his arm quickly leaving my shoulder. "I don't care! It'll be worth it! I had to tell her! I had to!" He looked down and thought for a minute. "Well, good luck man, and I'm proud of you even though I don't think you made the right decision. It's bad timing. How are you ever gonna be around here for the next 4 years? Does she know you've decided on Notre Dame?"

*Toby's POV*

"Let's take a picture," I said to Emily after she finished talking to Grace and Jaycee. I stuck my phone in the air and smile. She came over to me, put her hand on my right cheek, and kissed my left. We took it as we laughed and it turned out... Perfect. "Here, I'll take one for you guys." Jaycee then took my phone and took the picture. "Hey, hey," I said grabbing my phone after the picture, "that's a famous persons phone you're taking there." Emily punched me in the stomach. "Stop being a cocky asshole," she chuckled out as Gigi and Jaycee both gave me dirty looks... Jokingly of course. "Lemme go say hi to the guys real quick before we head out. Say hi to everyone and stuff." "Toby wa- never mind. I'll be here."

*Emily's POV*

Toby and I stood in my brothers room looking down at all the people at the party. He was hugging me from behind. I was just about to tell him. "If I tell you this... You promise me you won't do anything? At least not tonight?" "I promise." "After graduation... Tripp... He told me he loved me Toby."
