Chapter 13: Nerves, Excitement, & Awkward Conversations (+recap of 1-12)

Hey guys! So this was as soon as I could update but now, and I know it's absolutely uncalled for but volleyball is officially over now and I'm back from NYC so I shouldn't be busy anymore, especially now that the holiday's are over, too!! My new goal and what is soon to be my New Year's Resolution is a chapter every 2 weeks!!! I will really and honestly try to reach my goal for quite awhile. (PROBABLY MUCH NEEDED RECAP: Toby and Emily are currently going on 3 years. Emily found out an old friend, Kenzi, killed Victor but even after 2 years, they are still trying to find out why. She has started playing softball again and has been offered to be the backup catcher at her dream college where her brother and his new girlfriend, Christina, attend ~ Notre Dame University. Emily and Toby will be getting a house right off campus, close to her brothers'. Toby will stay with her for 3 months and then go back to Orlando for 2, and the cycle continues, even though Before You Exit is getting bigger and bigger by day. Emily will be working with John Mayer and his team once she gets settled in at college. On Emily's high school graduation day, Tripp told her he was in love with her. We later then found out he was accepted to Notre Dame, too. He will be attending there but there is a lot of feud, especially between him and Toby. Emily's mom is dating a co-worker, Joe. He has a little daughter, Alice who has grown close to Toby and Emily. Riley and Grace broke up for quite a few months because of rumors and drama, but they are currently back together. They lost their virginity to each other. Lauren and Curtis have both moved on and went their separate ways. Connor and Megan are still working at things. It is currently late night of June 6th. The McDonough's and Emily will be making their way to see the rest of the McDonough family in Cleveland, Ohio soon.) Enjoy!

*Emily's POV*

I looked at Toby and he looked back at me. Then, I looked down at my phone and answered the call. "Hello?" Toby leaned over and listened. I grabbed his hand. "Emily, hey. I just wanted to make sure you were okay." Toby reached for me phone with his free hand. I gave him a death stare. "Yes... I'm fine. Are you okay?" "I will be." "Alright Tripp... Thank you. I'll talk to you soon." "Talk to you soon." I hung up and look at Toby as we sat down.

"You have to control yourself throughout this time. I know Tripp loves me or whatever, but we're still friends and you know... You just care about your friends, no matter what." The words 'Tripp loves me' sounded so strange, so un-normal coming from my mouth. "I know." He scratched his jaw as it stiffened, holding back the words he really wanted to say but because he couldn't say them, I stood up, pulling him up with me. "Let's go for a little night swim. You and I never got to celebrate graduation," I kissed him. "Alone," I whispered in his ear. "We could swim," he said lifting me up so my legs wrapped around his waist, "or we can just take this straight up to my room." "Mmm," I said into the kiss. "Your room sounds great."

*Toby's POV*

All the emotion I was feeling I put into the kiss I planted on Emily's lips. I know she did the same by how she was kissing me back. Only seconds after, she was licking my lips asking for an entrance. With that, our tongues began to tangle together and before I knew it, we were in my room and Emily's shirt was on the floor. I set her on the bed so she was beneath me and began kissing her neck as I whipped my shirt off, too. I squeezed her boobs softly over her bra with my hands as I continued down her neck and quietly heard her moaning out my name.

We began making out again as her hand slowly moved from my hair, down my stomach, to my slightly erected crotch. I gasped in shock. Emily and I have teased each other before, but she's never taken the chance in a moment like this. I liked it. She felt around over my sweats as I moved my hands from her boobs to her ass and pulled her hips closer to me. She moaned into our kiss again right before I moved my mouth down to her neck again, then to her chest. I kissed her in every possible place I could without taking off her bra because when I tried to, she slowly shook her head at me. Then, she closed her eyes again and I kissed my way down her stomach. Emily's hands moved from the outside of my sweats to the outside of my boxers, making me gasp and letting the hot air from my mouth onto her lower ear and neck. To repay the favor, I moved my hand down to the inside of her thighs over her jeans and began teasing her. She gasped, then moaned, and then brought me back up to her lips. After many more minutes or the same stuff and realizing she had no intention of going any farther after that, I kissed and teased her a little while longer and then stopped myself before I was going to try something I knew I would've regretted after the fact.
