Chapter 1: Meeting Natsu Dragneel
Lucy's POV~
"Damn it!" I said outloud with rage. I can't believe him! I've been begging him to let me go to Magnolia University and that we could move there...but NO! I have to live like an adult and live by myself! What kind of father sends their daughter to another town on her own and doesn't even bother to give me money to buy an apartment! What a lousy father he is! I had to spend all my allowance on an apartment that's a couple blocks from Magnolia University. All 75,000 Jewels...waisted, oh well.
Right now, I'm walking to a cafe that my friend had requested, and I'm so eager to get there because it's a library cafe! The best thing I can find! A place where there are so many books and where you can buy coffee, not like in Hargeon, you can't enter a library with a drink since they're so 'important'. I've read so many books in that library that they don't make sense...they're all about history and science. What I want is books with adventure, action, romance, and fantasy! I love those kinds of books.
I enter the library cafe and I read the name...Coffee Queen? What kind of name is that for a library? I mean seriously? They could've just called it a Library Cafe? I walk in and there I am surprised of all the books they have there! I was greeted by a blonde male with spikes.
He looked at me and he smiled widely, "Hi, and welcome to the Coffee Queen! The name's Sting Eucliffe, and if you need any assistance with finding a book, you can ask the librarian Levy McGarden. Which you can find her in the front counter."
I smiled and greeted him, "Hi my name's Lucy and thanks, I'll be sure to go up to her right now."
He nodded and walked away to the cafe. I walked straight to the front counter and I see a small blue haired girl with a book in her hand. I read the cover, 'Inkheart'. I gasped so loud and I asked her, "Oh my god! You're reading Inkheart by Cornelia Funke! That's my favorite book!"
The blue haired girl looked at me and she smiled, "Oh yea, Cornelia is the best author in my opinion. Hi I'm Levy McGarden. Nice to meet a reader like me!"
I smiled with confidence, "She really is a great author, and my name's Lucy Heartfilia! And I have a feeling we're gonna get along really well."
She nodded, "I have the same feeling. So what kinds of books do you like reading?"
I rubbed my chin and thought of it, I replied, "I love adventure, comedy, action, romance, and fantasy stories. Do you have any stories that you wanna recommend me?"
Levy said quickly, "Have you read Inkspell and Inkdeath?"
I nodded, "Yup, and they were awesome. But it was really sad when Maggie was separated from her mother a second time."
