Chapter Five: The Truth

I was busy eating cereal listening to music,my earphones booming in my ears. Just than Brian took one earphone out and I looked up to him. "You're gonna turn deaf with those things." I just smiled at him and he came and sat across me giving me a worried look. " You okay?" My head shot up,what gave him the impression I wasn't okay. He must've seen the expression on my face. "Just because I saw you years ago doesn't mean I don't know you anymore." I dropped the spoon in my bowl and I could feel the fear bottling up in my stomach. "Promise me you won't be mad at me Brian." He gave me  another worried look mixed together with anger. "Promise me..." He just shook his head than looked at me. "Fine I promise..unless you're about to tell me you're pregnant. I promise I won't go soft on you! Are you!?" He asked getting all worked up. "No! No I'm not pregnant. Is that what you think of me!?" I asked totally pissed that he could even think that. "Don't change the subject Chlo. Just come clean." I sat back in my chair cursing through gritted teeth. I glanced up and saw Brian pacing up and down in his seat. " Back in Tokyo I got into some trouble with a Mafia member and fled here. He was a Yakuza member. He told me that he would leave me alone..just..because...I'm." The words struggling to come out because I knew Brian was going the burst a few veins. "Just because what?" Brian asked the annoyance and anger bright in his voice. "You promised me you won't get mad..." I said with a sulking tone. "Yes I did! But you don't wanna tell me what's going on! Do I have to strangle it out of you!?" I winced a little and he sat back in his chair calming himself down. "He promised he would leave me alone because I was dating Takashi." The words flying out hoping he wouldn't catch a word I said. His face turned red,his hands clenched in fists. "Who's..who's Takashi!?" He asked with his eyes popping from his head scaring the shit out of me. "Takashi that used to be the Drift King...you know him?" I asked acting dumb. Of course I know he and Takashi can't stand stand the sight of each other. He got up and was hovering over me erupting like a volcano. "Takashi..Kamata's Takashi!?" I just nodded looking down at my cereal bowl. "What!? Chloe what were you thinking!?" I got up and crossed my arms over my chest. " I love him Brian,he's my boyfriend!" He looked like he could catch snakes. "You love him!?" Brian snorted crossing his arms too. "Stay away from him! I don't want him near you otherwise I'll break his knees! You understand!?" I looked at him in disgust. "You can't tell me what to do! I won't allow that!" He walked closer towards me. "I can! And I will!" I could feel the tears running down my cheeks. I ran up the stairs to my room and slammed my door shut. I fell onto my bed crying and than i grabbed my phone and texted Takashi.

Brian knows and he's probably going to hunt you down. He forbade me to ever see you again. What are we going to do!?

After a while my phone beeped and it was Takashi.

Don't worry babe. Can I see you need to talk about it?

How? Brian is going to watch me like a hawk.

He won't I promise. He won't keep us apart.

Okay I'll see if I can get away.

I threw my phone aside and I wiped the tears off my face. I went to my closet and put on my jeans,long sleeve and leather jacket. I pulled my hair up in a ponytail and locked my bedroom door. I took my phone and climbed out of my window with ease. I walked over the lawn ready to hit the road when I heard a voice behind me making me jump. "Sneaking out Chloe? Aren't you a little old for that?" I turned and looked at Han smoking a ciggie leaning against his car. "Brain grounded me.." Han smiled."Why?" I walked towards him."He found out...that..Takashi and I are dating." Han's jaw dropped and he choked on the smoke in his lungs. "You and Takashi? Let me guess he's the one breaking your heart to shreds." I just nodded and turned to walk away. "If someone asks..you haven't seen me." He opened the passenger door. "How about I take you to him?" I stopped in my tracks and faced him. "I don't wanna get you into trouble with Brian." He came walking towards me. We were standing so close to each other that I could feel his hot breath on my face..still reeking of nicotine. "I just wanna make sure Takashi don't mess with you again." "Thanks for your concern Han but I think I'm gonna be fine." "I'm going babe whether you like it or not." I gave it a little thought and than gave in. "Fine." We got into his car and we drove off.
