"I just don't get it." Ringo sighed and pushed across to meet Paul at the counter.

"get what mate?" the younger man asks and turns his pointed pixie nose to the older man.

"John." Ringo mumbled and absentmindedly glided the soft cloth over the record.

"what about John? you're not making this any better man." Paul chuckled and checked the money in the register for the third time today.

"he did something. and--I don't know whether I should like it or not." Ringo shrugged and a gasp met Paul's plump, perfect lips.

"what did he do? spill everything!" he shrieks and Ringo lets out a small giggle.

"well we were having our regular little movie marathons like always and--" Ringo began but was soon interrupted by a heavily coaxed Liverpool accent.

"Starkey, McCartney, get back to work." called out their friend and fellow worker in the record shop.

"alright boss man." Ringo blushed and Paul chuckled.

"sure thing Georgie baby." the younger man winked and George rushed away, trying to cover up the red coating majority of his face.

"anyways," Ringo laughed and put the record down once he caught himself polishing it for what seems like the thirtieth time that minute. "we were kinda just sitting there when he just pulled me over and, he just kissed me."

"no way! no way no way! oh my gosh he KISSED you? oh my fucking god!" Paul suddenly yelled out, slapping Ringo's arm happily as he heard the words he'd always wanted to hear.

"shush it Paulie." Ringo blushed and felt a smile tug at his lips even though his heart dropped to his stomach.

"now what? I told you guys to shut up but apparently you can't seem to follow simple directions!" both men jumped when George appears with an amused grin on his face.

"well sorry dear y'know we didn't mean it." Paul said with his best puppy dog eyes and batted his lashes slowly.

"don't give me that look Paulie. you guys really should be working." George sighed and before walking away, gave a quick kiss to Paul.

"seems like you can get away with anything when loverboy's around." Ringo laughed and threw the cloth at Paul's face.

"you don't know that." he blushed and looked over to follow the eyes of the youngest employee in the shop.

"why don't you stop eye fucking him then." the blue eyed man says and gets off the counter once he sees a girl approach.

"that's a no. hello darling how may I help you?" Paul asks once the girl is finally in talking distance.

"just this please." she giggles, pushing her blonde hair out the way and hands him a copy of Prince and the Revolution.

"no problem sweetie. have yourself a good day and stay gorgeous." Paul winks and hands off the copy once he's done collecting her money.

"oh th--thank you." she blushed and skipped out the store, head high up in heaven.

"that's the Macca effect, works every time." Paul snickers and Ringo only sighs.

"you're a special one." Ringo answers and gets up to actually do some work for once.

"wait--I just realized something." Paul freezes and Ringo peers at him curiously.

"that is?" he begins and puts his full attention on Paul.

"Prince and the Revolution. the song Kiss? you and John kissed? George kissed me a few minutes ago? is this not the best day ever?" Paul grins his ridiculously stupid grin and Ringo lets out an obnoxiously loud groan before moving anywhere that counts as far from Paul.

maybe Paul wasn't the best person to talk to if you wanted to talk about a kiss.
