half of the day in John's office had consisted of Stu walking in, giving him kisses on the cheek, John's ex Cynthia walking in to give him gossip from the break room, and Brian coming in to inform him that they'd be expecting a new artist coming all the way from Japan so he'd better tidy up his office.

oh boy.

"hey John!" he had heard someone call out from outside his office and saw Cynthia running in quickly.

"and what brings you here?" he smiled kindly and looked over at her.

"remember how Brian said we'd be expecting a new artist? well I think she's here!" Cynthia said and yanked the man out of his seat.

"where is she? what does she look like?" John has asked, craning his neck to try to make out who it might be.

"she looks like Yzma from Emperor's New Groove." Stu had added on and John couldn't resist, he cackled at the comment.

"isn't that too far Stu?" Cynthia had said, forcing her lips to stop grinning.

"no it's not. she looks exactly like her." Stu answered and dragged the both of them to Brian's office.

behind the door was a crowd of all the workers in the studio. they were on their tiptoes trying to get a peek at their now famous artist. John leaped up, catching a glimpse at her.

the woman had pale skin that seemed to tighten around her cheeks, her eyes were a dark brown, jet black hair cascading around her shoulders and ending near her elbows. she wore a white gardeners hat that covered some of her face along with a white dress and white go go boots. no one had worn those in a long time. she held a pair of round sunglasses in her hands and twirled them around nervously. it didn't look like she belonged here.

"pull the lever Kronk," Stu had whispered and John cackled. "wrong lever!"

now that he thought about it she really did look like Yzma.

"that's an insult to Yzma. what did she ever do to you?" Cynthia added on and both men lost it completely.

"holy fucking god, I never regretted dating you." John said and Cynthia laughed along with her friend.

it felt nice to have some joy in the day.

John turned over and faced Stu, who was grinning at him like he was a prized possession. it felt wrong, but John liked it. he liked the attention that he was receiving. it was refreshing.

"hey Johnny?" Stu called out to him and took his hand. though uncomfortable and awkward, John went with him. "well I was wondering if you'd like to, y'know, go on a date tonight?"

as quickly as he'd been brought into a good mood, John snapped out of it. a date? with Stu? what would Ringo thi-- oh yeah. he wouldn't care.

so John turned around and took Stu's hand in his. "oh I never thought you'd ask. pick me up at my place?"

Stu smiled. he'd done it. finally.

"anything you want." Stu smiled and kissed the man's hand gently.

"see you tonight." John giggled and slipped over to his office.

he'd show Ringo what he's missing.

I'm so so so sorry it was short but hey at least it's something. I promise to make a new chapter as soon as possible and feel free to attack me until I write a new one.
