E P I L O G U E :

"Gracie," Oliver cooed, throwing his trunk down and taking the girl from her mother. "How's my favorite little niece?"

"She's your only little niece," Jane said from where she was strewn across the couch, flipping through channels at high speed. Both Ellie and Oliver ignored her as they headed into the kitchen.

"I'm glad you came to visit," Ellie said with a smile reaching out to put her daughter into the highchair. Oliver gave a little pout and held Gracie out of Ellie's reach. Ellie rolled her eyes and sat down. "How was school?"

"I'm glad it's over," Oliver said as he bounced Grace on his knee. "I've got a couple of try-outs this summer. One with United Puddlemore next week."

"United Puddlemore, eh?" Jane said walking in. She was wearing an old pair of Hogwarts sweats and a Beatles t-shirt as she padded over to the fridge. "Heard their try-outs are a bitch. Worse than anything you could ever make a person do legally."

"Don't you have to be at work soon?" Ellie asked as Oliver stopped and looked worried.

"Nope," Jane said patting Grace's head as she walked back towards the living room. "I took today off. I do have a date tonight with the girl who runs the pub around the corner so I probably should go get ready, huh?"

As soon as her door had slammed closed, Oliver asked the question that had been on his mind for a while. "Have you talked to Charlie lately?"

"Charlie who?" Ellie said faintly as she stared down at the table, avoiding eye contact.

"Charlie Weasley, who else El?" Oliver sighed and waited for a response. When she didn't even move he let out another sigh, using his free hand to rub his face and then reach out to touch her hand. She yanked away. "You have to tell him eventually."

"I don't have to do anything," Ellie snapped quickly standing up. The chair scrapped the floor and in two steps she had Gracie in her hands.

Oliver looked at her, studying the barely twenty-one year old. She no longer smiled as much as she frowned and fretted over little thing. Rarely did she leave the apartment her and Jane shared unless it was to run to the store or go to her part-time job or go see their parents (which she rarely did now).

He stood up and turned towards the hallway where his trunk lay. "Rumor has it he's gonna be at Hogwarts this year." She stiffened. "And I doubt he's gonna miss the World Cup. You can't avoid him forever."

He left soon after that, murmuring goodbyes and kissing his sister and niece on the cheek. Once gone, Ellie sunk onto the couch, clutching her daughter. She was three and a half and had seen many pictures of her dad. Ellie knew it was only a matter of time before she saw the real life version of her dad. She couldn't hide forever.
