I'm not so much a dragon slayer, more a dragon annoyer -- I'm a dragon irritater

-Craig Ferguson

She swung their linked hands between them as they mindlessly walked through the sunny day. They had been bored on their last free day before classes started up and had decided to take a walk. She was looking around for something to do when she spotted the three redheads underneath a tree and dragged Charlie over to them. The oldest of the group seemed to be scolding the younger two and as they got closer, Ellie could hear what he was saying.

"-bad impression."

"What was a bad impression Percy?" Charlie said as they came to a stop next to his brothers.

"Their little attempt at switching places during the sorting," Percy said and Ellie laughed.

"Oh, that was pretty awesome," she said holding out a hand. The twins high-fived her and Percy scowled.

"No it was a-"

"Let me guess, bad impression?" Ellie said grinning over at the twins. She felt Charlie squeeze her hand and looked over to see him with a half grin but raising his eyebrows at a slightly fuming Percy.

"Charlie," Percy said rounding on the oldest Weasley brother. Ellie covered a laugh when she saw the look on Charlie's face. It looked as though he was about to be tortured.

"Err, yes Percy?" Charlie said running a hand through his hair.

"You're a prefect. Do something."

"Well, I would, but-"

"Oh, don't tell me you commend this behavior!" Percy said glaring at them.

"Oh, lighten up Perce," Ellie said with a small grin, which he returned with a large scowl.

"I will not lighten up!" And with that, he spun on his heel and marched away, muttering things about when he would become a prefect and what he would do.

"Well, that certainly went well, didn't it?" Ellie said with a laugh.

Charlie let out a sigh. "As funny as your little trick was last night boys, Percy's kinda right. You do need to behave. You still have seven years here."

The twins rolled their eyes and Ellie nudged her boyfriend. "Now who needs to lighten up?" she teased, but he did not seem to find it very funny.

"Alright, well I suppose you two should behave." The twins rolled their eyes. "and we have to go now."

"We do?"

"Yeah," Ellie said looking up at him through her eyelashes. "Studying in the library."

"Studying? The year hasn't even started yet!" he exclaimed throwing his hands up and including the one still linked with hers.

Ellie ignored him and grinned at the twins. "Bye guys!"

She waved and tugged a frowning Charlie away and toward the castle.

"Why do we have to study in the library?" he whined once they were further along, closer to the main doors. "It's humid in there. And it's such a beautiful day."

"Hush now. We're not going to the library. What kind of person do you think I am?" She let out a laugh before tugging him to the left as they were almost in front of the main door. They rounded the corner and continued past Hagrid's hut until they were behind the castle. Charlie thought she would stop, but she kept going until they were at the edge of the forest.

"What are we doing here?" He asked looking around and raising an eyebrow.

"Stay," she demanded, pointing down, and then disappeared behind a set of trees. He sank to the ground and played with a blade of grass, twirling it between his fingers until she came back out slowly with a basket in her hands. She was blushing slightly as she sat down next to him and he raised an eyebrow.

"I, um, had the house elves in the kitchen make a picnic," she said not looking at him as she busied herself with pulling out the small meal. "It's not much, but at least it's food."

When he reached over to help her take everything out, she grinned up at him.

They ate pretty slowly, what with all the talking in between each bite and Ellie laughing so hard she had pumpkin juice come up her nose, and by the time, they were finished the sun was setting and the dark was creeping out.

"We should go in," Ellie whispered, snuggled into Charlie's side. He turned his head and they brushed noses.

"Stay," he whispered and she could hardly breathe as her head moved just the tiniest bit to tell him yes. He searched her eyes for a moment (as did she) and then gave a slight nod as well before leaning in to brush his lips against hers.

Her heart was pounding as she waited, but he pulled away.

"You tease!" she said slapping him on the shoulder. Laughing, he swooped back in and kissed her.

They kissed until the sun was well past the horizon. They probably would have stayed out all night had a loud howl not sounded from the forest. It did not sound close to them and they doubted it was anything dangerous, but they decided not to chance it. So, after one final kiss they stood up.

"I think I got all the picnic items," Ellie said, scanning the ground that her wand was illuminating one last time.

"Well, I still can't find my shirt," Charlie grunted from behind her. Turning, she had to bite her cheek to keep from giggling as she got an eyeful of his arse while he looked through the bushes. "Merlin, how far did you throw it?"

She had to bite of another giggle as she spotted the shirt hanging from a branch directly above him.

"Uh, Charlie?" she said and he straightened up and turned to face her. She took the few strides to him and reached up on tiptoes to grab the shirt and hand it to him. "Not that you really need the shirt, but here."

"Ah, thanks," he was turning red as he yanked it over his head and Ellie shook her head.

"It's hard to believe you're a seeker with your quick finding skills," she deadpanned and grabbed the basket. Grabbing her hand, the two snuck back up to the castle.

08.12.2015 Hello mis amigos! So, I need to stop getting books from the library and start actually reading the books I've already rented (and bought). Good job Katie, pat on the back, A+ for effort. Actually, F----------- for effort because I have failed once again!

Kay, bye.
