The Meeting

"Do any of you disagree about the decision to make Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez the Captain of the new Division Soko?" Yamamoto peered over his Captains. There was silence before Sui-Feng spoke up, "We aren't we making Tier Harribel or Ulquiorra Cifer the Captain?"

"Because Harribel at her wish doesn't fancy being Captain, as for Cifer he displays no leadership skills." Toshiro said coldly with his gaze to the ground. "I don't think that somebody with temper issues should be commanding a team of powerful Espada here in the Seretei." Sui-Feng said as she looked towards Toshiro.

"The remaining Espada have been residing in Karakura with the Urahara's. I'm sure if they wanted to do harm they would have already done it." Rukia said in defense. Sui-Feng sent a harsh look her way but brought it back to herself and replied, "Kisuke Urahara is a sneaky man and Mae-Hana has been missing for a year and nobody knows where she is."

"Forgive me if I'm incorrect but are you implying that Mae-Hana is up to something suspicious?" Shunsui asked in his usual lazy tone. The room tensed up at this, Sui-Feng looked at Shunsui, "It wouldn't surprise me."

Sajin growled, "And what do you think she's up to?"

Yamamoto sensed the rivalry begin and slammed his stick down onto the floor once before speaking, the room quieted down, "What Mae-Hana is up to is none of our concern, tomorrow Division Soko will be arriving and if anybody has a problem with that you may take it up with me personally – you are dismissed."

The Captains left the hall and no doubt it had raised suspicions where Mae was. But it was none of their concern. Of course he had been a little uneasy at first at having the Espada be made a new Division in the Gotei-13.

For reassurance he had recently contacted Ichigo and he had said that Grimmjow had calmed down. And moreover he wouldn't really be bothered with anything else other than himself, claiming that he was hung up on Mae leaving.

Toshiro had asked if Ichigo had any idea why Mae had left Karakura and gone completely off the radio anyways.

Ichigo replied with, "Well, she's told her friends that she'd be going to study overseas... I don't really know where she went to but I did manage to get it out of her that she was leaving because of what happened with Grimmjow..." Toshiro being confused with this; he pressed on but Ichigo replied with, "It really isn't my place to say..."

Toshiro sighed; Mae was as good as hiding her feelings as Rangiku was at drinking. He was startled with a huge hug from Livi.

Livi Mori was the 10th Division Third-Seat and a rather happy young shinigami. Toshiro had found over the years that he had developed feelings for the brunette. Her hair was rather long, it was usually in a high pony tail but it still managed to reach down to her calves. Just like him, she had recently had a growth spurt – now they were both the height of Renji at the least. His favorite feature about her though was her mesmerizing big green eyes. Her thick eyelashes complemented them with maximum effort.

"Hi Captain!" Livi exclaimed as she gave him a squeeze. Toshiro winced as she yelled into his ear; he rubbed it before glancing at her, "Hello Livi." "How did the meeting go?" Livi asked as she let go of him and walked beside him.

"It was just like any other meeting; we discussed things." Toshiro shrugged casually.

"About what?" Livi chirped. "The new division of course." Toshiro said in a mono-tone voice.

"Right, everybody has been talking about that. I'm really excited to see the Espada I heard the stories and now I want to meet the stars." Livi said in an almost dream like tone.

"Yes well they aren't all that wonderful." Toshiro said bluntly. "Oh I know – that's why it's even more exciting to meet them. Do you think you could introduce me?" Livi looked hopeful.

Toshiro thought about saying no but he couldn't resist her puppy dog face and sighed, "Fine." "Hey didn't you go up against Tier Harribel? She's coming tomorrow isn't she?" Livi asked teasingly.

"Don't remind me..." Toshiro groaned. Livi giggled.
