Chapter 38

Peter's POV

A faint cry escapes.

I realised it wasn't mine. It was Rowena's.

Her body crumpled underneath me.

"No. No. No." I said.

She interfered. I didn't notice her coming in.

Instead of plunging the knife in my chest. I plunged it in hers.

I sank down on my knees.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Even when You kill yourself. Mary wouldn't release me." She replied weakly.

A tear slid dowm my cheek.

Before I could react she leaned in and kissed me.

"I love you..." She whispered softly.

Then her eyes closed.

Astrid's POV

"GUys..." I whisper.

"What?" Blake asks.

"Rowena's dead."

Autmn's POV

There was a knock on my door.

"What!" I snarled.

I was in chains and my wrist were bloody. And they haven't given me any food.

"Rowena's dead." Mary said coldly.

And slammed the door shut.

Then I started to jingle the chains.

I cried out and started to shout my heart out.

Cole's POV

The screen flashed and the victims appeared.

Amber was still tied to a chair but she was getting nearer to the ledge.

Autmn was in chains and she was scraped and bloody.

Peter was inside a room.

But the room was filled in bright light.

Like he was getting roasted from the inside.

The screen went blank.

Adam's POV

"Okay from now on we're going to go guard the school only at night. And we're going by twos."

"Agreed." They all said.

"Okay first shift. Astrid and Edmund."

Edmund's POV

Me and Astrid started down the halls.

"The weathers nice." I say.

"Uhh. Yeah."

Stupid stupid stupid.

I mutter to myself.

"Yeah.. It's so wa.."

Before I could finish Astrid grabbed me and kissed me full on the lips.

"Woah!"

"It figures we should kiss. We might be the next victims right?"

"Yeah.."

Then goosebumps broke all over my arm.

Astrid grabbed her dagger and I grabbed a torch.

We heard a shriek and dark siders poured out from both sides.

I started to punch and stab them until they died.

Little more.

But we were getting tired.

A dark sider grabbed me and twisted my arm.

I howled in pain.

"Ed! help!" Astrid yelled.

Dark siders were circling around her.

A ran to her and shielded her with my body.

I tried to punch then but it was no use.


They were getting closer and closer by the second.

The lasting I heard was Astrid screaming before being swallowed up by the Sea of Dark siders.
