Chapter 40

Will's POV

"Traitor." I spat at him.

He rolled his eyes and immediately his hand shot up and vines were shooting out of the floor.

It wrapped around my waist and on Cole's neck.

I grabbed a dagger from my pocket and sliced it.

Freeing myself from the iron grip.

I closed my eyes and duplicated myself.

Cole flammed his vines and was beginning to fight.

Me and other Wills charged forward and slashed Blake on the cheek.

Cole kneed him in the groin.

"Now that is a huge mistake." He said angrily.

He got out his sword and started slashing us. He pierced my leg and I went down.

Immediately the other Wills disappeared.


Blake stomped on the ground and shards of rocks flew toward Cole and he crashed down.

3 down. We lose. Mary wins. We are now captives of her own.

Cole's POV

I was inside a room. Tied to a chair. Scraped and bloody. And hungry.

"Help..." I called out weakly.

Tick tick tick.

I looked to the ceiling. There was nothing there

I looked behind my back. Nothing either.

I listend for a few moments and looked down at my body. Strapped around me is a time bomb.

And it read.

48 hours.

Was that how long we were suppose to live?

The question lingered through my thoughts.

Astrid's POV

"Astrid... Why didn't you help me...."

Rowena screeched.

"I tried.." I croaked out.

"Astrid!" A voice screamed.

And I snapped back to reality.

So this is the torment Mary had installed for me.

I know these were just illusions. But they felt so real.

Am I going to die this way?

Blake's POV

I was in the Dungeon watching all of them suffer.

Adam was guarded by dark siders and was getting slashed repeatedly.

Will was tied to a chair and wires were tied all around him. And he was getting shocked every hour.

And of course another surprise victim.

Cat.

She was injected with her own potion. A poison that was meant for Peter but was actually meant for her.

And I am here safe and sound. Watching behind the shadows.
