The Sixth Dragon (Natsu x Reader fanfic)

Chapter One (back story)

" OPEN THE DOOR!"
you hear a deep voice and a loud bang at the door.

"OPEN UP. I KNOW YOUR IN  THERE~"
" Honey, I want you to go out the back door and run. Run as far away as possible. Your daddy and I love you now go please " your mother gently said. You could tell she was about to cry but she held back the tears. 

You were confused but you did what your mother said. You ran to the door and didn't want to look back. When you got to the forest behind your house you heard distorted screams coming from your house. It sounded like your mothers. You hesitated but decided to look behind you and the house you spent your whole life in was now covered in blue flames. You just couldn't hold back the tears from flowing.

You knew that whoever was at the door killed your family and you would never forget that.

You saw a man standing in front of you house holding a bloody sword. He was the one who killed your parents, you were sure of that much, but he was too far away to see his face. There was a group of 6 or so men coming from your burning house. You quickly turned around to keep running but your eyes were blurry from all the tears.

You kept running and no matter what you would keep running. It felt like you were for hours as your legs could give out at any moment... *Slam* You tripped on one of the tree roots. 

"Young human, are you ok?" You heard a deep but soft voice

"Uh huh.." you said wiping the tears that were pouring from your eyes. Your raised you head slowly to see who the voice belonged to, you saw a huge black dragon. (On cover of book)

"young human, where is your home?"
"b-burning d-down..." you said looking down though sniffles.

" And where are your parents?"
" .....d-d...dead......" you said trying to hold back the tears but they kept flowing as your shoulders started to tremble. He could tell you were devastated about whatever had just happened.

" Well young human... you can stay with me . My name is Ladonicon and I am known as the Dragon of the Unknown."

"O-oh ok"you whispered still trying to calm your self and to process what just happened.

" Now, I don't think you want me calling you young human now do you? So what is your name?"

" Y/n" 

" Ok then y/n, it's getting late why don't we go to sleep."

You followed the black dragon into a cave and fell asleep.

** Time skip to year X777**
( When you are 12)

It was a beautiful day out so you decided to sit underneath a tree near the cave where you have been living. You never wandered far unless you were with Ladonicon. This was your favorite spot, you could see miles and miles of the massive forests of Magnolia. As time had passed you realized you fell asleep. As soon as you woke up it was nighttime already and you quickly made your way back to the cave, careful not to trip. Thankfully the moonlight was strong so you could pretty much see everything.

when you walked in you saw Ladonicon in his human form sitting at the homemade table writing a... letter? Ladonicon is in his human form most of the time since his dragon form would take up too much space in the cave. He had shoulder length messy black hair and glowing red eyes. He was pretty well built and had scars all over his body and one across his nose. He noticed you as soon as you walked in and turned around to face you.   

" Y/n. I need to tell you something. You won't be able to see me for a long time and I have to leave tomorrow. I can't get into detail about it but I want you have have this book." Ladonicon informed you.

"Ok, but why do u have to leave; i don't want you to leave. What is this book, is it dangerous?" you started to bombard him with questions.

" You will find out soon enough now go to sleep it is getting late."

* Time skip to morning*
 
You woke up on the cold dirt ground. You usually sleep up against Ladonicon but he wasn't there.
"D-dad?....." but no answer. Now you remember. He left you and now you were on your own.

So as you can tell this is my first fanfic so it's not that best but ill get the hang of it 😊. Anyway thank you so much for reading it means a lot. It's not really natsu x reader yet but it will get there.
