The Sixth Dragon (Natsu x Reader fanfic)

Chapter 12

   Lucy and Erza were by the edge of town with no luck of finding y/n. Lucy started to feel a tiny bit happy that they couldn't find her. All of this walking was tiring and Lucy just wanted to go back to the guild.

"Hey Erza?" Lucy asked breaking the silence between them. "We should head back, it's almost sunset and we have been looking all day." Erza sighed.  Erza couldn't rest until she found her, but they had been looking all day. 

"Alright, but we are going to continue bright and early tomorrow." Lucy sighed. For some reason she just wanted that girl to be gone. She didn't know why she felt this way, but the feelings were strong. She had never wanted someone to die, but this girl just ticked her off. Maybe it was just her feelings for Natsu that clouded her judgement but who knew. ;)

Happy, y/n, and Natsu walked into the guild a little after sunset. Mira, Levi, and Cana were the only ones in the guild. Mira behind the bar, like always, Levi sitting at a table surrounded by books (probably sleeping), and Cana passed out slouched over the bar.

"Sup!" Natsu greeted while walking to the counter, Happy following. "Where is everybody?", he continued. y/n walked in awkwardly and sat at a table listening to their conversation.

"They all went on missions. Worried sick for y/n but they gotta eat somehow." Mira replied while cleaning the bar. "Where did you find y/n?" you shifted in your seat.

"Out by the mountains, near some cottage." he replied.

"Ah, that far? what were you doing all the way over there?" The question was pointed to you. Mira didn't mean for it to be a harmful question. She just felt uncomfortable talking about this, it reminded her of what she did. It will haunt her for the rest of her life.

"Y/n sweetie? Are you okay? You look pale?" Mira asked.

"I have to go" y/n said as she awkwardly got up and walked to the door. When she opened it, you saw Lucy and Erza. Lucy saw her then looked at Natsu, then back at her.

She meet Lucy's eyes and saw pure hatred. It took y/n off guard and she paused. Did Lucy hate her that much?

"Oh! y/n! I'm so glad your okay. Erza and i were worried sick." Lucy exclaimed. If Lucy hated her so much, she did a damn good at hiding it.

"So I've heard." y/n paused. "thanks, i guess. but i have to go." She said trying to avoid anyone.

"No, come here. Like Lucy said, we have been worried sick and need to know what happened. We care about you, y/n." Erza calmly said while holding her shoulders so she couldn't leave. y/n was stuck. She couldn't defy Erza. Erza gently pushed y/n back into the guild. Natsu and Happy watched all of this happen, sort of confused. 

Lucy walked to the bar and sat next to Natsu. The smell of him made her go crazy and she didn't know why. Erza sat y/n at a table and sat herself next to y/n. 

"Tell us what happened that night." Erza asked motherly. y/n felt very uncomfortable.

"I don't want to talk about it. I lost control, that's all." y/n said trying to make this quick but nothing is ever easy with Erza.

"I know, but what was that magic you used?" y/n sat there, and didn't respond. She sure wasn't gonna tell them that she used a forbidden magic.

"She used a Zeref spell" Lucy said out of no where. She was trying her best to get y/n to look bad. y/n looked up at her shocked, how could she know? 

"You said that on that night. Is this true y/n?" Erza asked. Y/n didn't remember Lucy saying that but that is irrelevant. She think of a lie you can tell them but she can't think of any. She opts to just staying silent. She see Lucy in the corner of her eye smirking; that bitch. 

"y/n?" Natsu asks breaking the silence. y/n look at him and his eyes look sincere and worried. She has never seen Natsu this worried.

y/n breaks," So what? Whats done is done and i can't change what i did."A tear rolls down her cheek. Natsu and Erza look with worried eyes while Lucy smirks. She got y/n to confess. She feels joy watching her break down.

"You got that spell from the book you were reading the night before right?" Lucy pushes. y/n wipes her tears then looks at her. Lucy has pure joy in her eyes, she is enjoying this, that sadistic..

"I remember you reading something that night, is Lucy right y/n?" Erza asks. Erza doesn't mean to be pushy but it comes off that way. y/n looks at Natsu again but stays silent. Natsu doesn't know what to do. He wants to help her but he doesn't know how. He was never good at comforting people. 

"How did you get that book? It's about Zeref isn't it? Why do you even have it? Its dangerous and i don't know if i can trust you with it" Lucy kept pushing the topic while y/n just sank in her chair.

Natsu had enough. He couldn't stand seeing someone being abused," Lucy quit it! She has had enough!" He said as he stood up and walked over to y/n. He grab her arm and dragged her to the door. "I don't know whats up with you, Lucy, but this isn't the Lucy i know." He forcefully opened the door and walked out of the guild with y/n...
