Got me so high, and then she dropped me. But she got me, she got me, she got me bad. Took me inside and than she rocked me. She kept me up all night, this is what it sounds like. Oh oh oh my lucky strike. Oh oh oh my lucky strike. Your body rocking, keep me up all night. One in a million, my lucky strike. Adam Levine's voice rining in my head as I turn up the volume of my beats to highest. Taking ranndom pencils from my desk, I use them as drumsticks, hitting all the downbeats in Lucky Strike while sucking on a cherry blow pop.

Faintly I hear my name being called but I decide to ignore it, drumming along with the beat.

"Cass...? Cass? Cassie?! CASSIE!" The voice gets louder and louder until my beats are ripped from my ears.

'Hey!" I shout, turning around to see Gabe with them in his hands. I drop the pencils on my desk and take the lollipop in my hands, holding it lazily as I glare at him.

"You deaf or something? Mr. Woods has called you to his office ten minutes ago. He just called again to wonder where you were." Gabe says.

I groan hard and loud, "Crap."

"Just be happy that I'm your best friend and an excellent fibber." Gabe winks at me.

"You're a lifesaver." I thank him and grab the beats from his hands and placing it on my neck.

Jogging past him, I skillfully toss the blow pop in the garbage. I make it to the elevator and press the up button quickly. I wait impaitently for the elevator. What is taking so damn long? To distract myself from the infuriatingly slow elevator, I look through my playlist with the music on pause.

Finally, the elevator comes and opens with a ding. Stepping inside, I press the button for Mr. Wood's floor: Level 19. The elevator jerks upwards and I am thrown into the wall. Grunting, I peel myself from the light wood wall and watch as the numbers on the screen go up by ones.

When the elevator dings again, I step out onto Level 19.

"Hey Julie," I greet Mr. Woods secretary.

"Hi Cassie, you can go right in." She jerks her chin to his wood with a smile. I give her a quick smile back before opening the door to Mr. Woods office.

Entering the large room, Mr. Woods is sitting in his own comfy chair, reading something off his laptop.

"Hi, Mr. Woods." I say.

Looking up from his computer Mr. Woods bursts into a smile, the skin around his eyes crinkling slightly. "Hi Cassie." He says. "Don't worry, Gabe told me what you were doing and where you were." He winks at me and chuckles.

What the hell did Gabe tell him?

"This should only take a minute." Mr. Woods continues. Swiftly, he wipes a hand over his bald head like to fix his nonexistant hair.

Calmly, I sit down in one of the overly plush, yet incredibly comfortable, chairs in front of his desk. Crossing my legs, I wait for him to continue with whatever he needs to.

In his hand is a Pop Magazine with an enlarged photo of Harry Styles, his emerald green eyes shining in the photo, probably making every girl who sees the photo melt. I had Paul to thank for that awesome photo.

"Your latest article about Harry Styles, very good. Huge even. That got a lot of people to check out the magazine and helped us get more subscribers. Your best work so far." Mr. Woods praises me.

I had to admit that I had a lot of fun with the interview, he is such a sweet guy that you would think that he is just some random kid from the mall who is a ladies' man, not an international popstar.

"But than your newest, Taylor Swift article..." Mr. Woods continues.

I purse my lips and admit, "I thought it was pretty good."

"Oh no, don't get me wrong, I loved it."

"Than what's the problem?"

"Sunkissed Magazine got to her before us."

"No." I groan and slap my hand to my forehead.

"I'm afraid so." Mr Woods than puts down the Pop Magazine for Sunkissed's, Taylor smiling wide. "But that got me thinking, we just heard about her and her latest heartbreak. Everyone knows about her, there's nothing to expose or show the world. We need something new... something fresh... or we need someone who we can really expose. We'll be the magazine that uncovers the person and no matter if they are already in magazine, as long as we know we can get more dirt out of them, we are going to go for it. And we got to get him or her before Sunkissed or any other magazine gets them first. And I know that you won't disappoint."

"Course not." I agree with my boss.

"If you could start thinking of anyone who would be perfect let me know. Movie star, singer, in a band, model, dancer, really anyone famous, I'm not picky." He winks at me.

Names upon names run in my head and I start mentally categorizing them. Some good, others bad and in between. But none of them strike me as what Mr. Woods wants exactly.

"Don't worry, I can come up with something." I promise him.

"I know you can." Mr. Woods nods before I leave his office.

When I reach Level 7, I walk out of the elevator, dodging David as he dives in the elevator. Walking down the floor, I see Gabe typing wildly on his laptop. When I reach him, I punch him hard in the arm.

"OW!" He yelps, rubbing his arm furiously.

"What the hell did you tell Mr. Woods I was doing?" I interegate him.

A wicked smile dances on his lips, "Oh nothing. Just that you were dealing with your feminene issues."

I gasp loudly, "No you didn't." Gabe nods and I groan, "You ass."

"Let's just call it payback for the whole Amber thing."

"She is a bitch. I saved you." I cross my arms hard against my chest and glare at him. Gabe starts cracking up into hysterics. I scoff and turn around so my back is to him and I am stuck staring at the bright blue wall across the office.

"Okay, okay... I'm sorry." Gabe says when he finishes laughing. I remain silent and unmoving. "Ha. Ha. You love me." He says. I continue to not move, not admitting that I love him as a best friend. Nothing more, nothing less. "Come here you." He says and I feel his strong arms wrap around my waist.

I gasp loudly as he spins me around once. I grasp onto his arms to keep myself in balance. A smile breaks through my blank expression and I erupt into giggles. Gabe spins me once more, my legs dangling limply again. Once my feet are on the ground, he turns me around and looks at me with a goofy smile.

"Still best friend?" He asks.

Lightly, I punch him in the arm, "Course dummy."

Note: Hey guys. I am so freaking pissed. As some of you might know I already wrote this chapter about 9 hours ago. But something happened and half of the story was deleted. I wanted to kill my computer or just die. I was so mad. But I tried to make it the same. I know it's not verbatim but whatever, I'm already stress out to the max and this is the rotten cherry on top of my day. I tried and sorry for the people who read it before and now it's a little different. Don't worry though the ending is the same.
