My Only Escape

Silver and Red

There are days when I'm great it's like the sun is on my side but then it crashes
Like the great inferno
Like a hole in the roof, never noticing on the best of days but when it rains, the memories get flooded. From my once happy memories from the time where I wasn't broken to the reminders of my broken family that sits in pieces on the floor.
Numbing me but exposing me to pain
To the pain that is life
The coldness that seeps down my spine
And for a moment I see a future
Filled with better times and brighter people
But when I look to the present
I see the abyss
I see the cracking window that gets more cracks one day, waiting for it to shatter
The future predicting of collapsion 
The abyss I call my life
I look out across the harbor
Awaiting my savior
But only setting myself up for disappointment
Crying myself to sleep
Wishing for an escape
Silver
Red
My body filled with euphoria before it gets canceled out with aching coming from my arm.
And with that quick move
I break free of the labyrinth you call home
Only to escape into the peacefulness of darkness ignoring the screams of agony and the salty smell of tears that for once aren't mine
