Rant: Refusing help

A/N: This rant is not based on personal situations but more on feelings. This is just another form of fictional writing. Enjoy :33

Do you ever get that particular tinge of a feeling when someone says something?
Like, when they say one thing but mean the exact opposite.

Let me explain.
There are some people I know, people who I talk to from time to time. For the most part, I only really know their troubles and problems secondhand - from other people. It's like reading this book about someone's life and their inner conflicts and just like in books they always do the complete opposite of what they should do.

Well, the people that I know (secondhand) are struggling with being accepted by others. At least, they think they're not accepted by others. That they don't belong anywhere or with anyone. They also feel as if no one cares and no on even tries to help them with their problems.

This is obviously not true. The people who talk to me about them are highly concerned. They're worried that they are not doing a good enough job because the person in question acts like there is no one out there that's offering help that actually means something to them.

IF THEY DONT FEEL LIKE THEYRE NOT GETTING THE HELP THEY NEED FROM OTHERS THEN SAY SO.

Don't just say you're fine to that person and thank them for helping you when they've actually done nothing. People WANT to help. People WANT to make a difference for you. People WANT you to feel better. People DONT WANT you to ACT anymore.

Mental barriers are a big issue so it's understandable if they can't do this at all. But to those who are not suffering from a mental illness and are instead just hesitating then don't. It's FINE to get help and it's MORE fine if you do get better. Accept others when you can't accept yourself.

Don't resist change. Don't be afraid because change is probably all that you really need.
