The Beginning
When I first found you, you were lost.
Conflicted.
Between two beautiful girls, I knew so closely, people I saw almost every day. I understood your attraction to them, how they could have encaptured your heart so easily. They didn't try like I had to. To me, they deserved to have someone feel that way towards them.
They both needed that kind of love. But one was already caught up in someone else, while the other has not even once considered having someone so significant in their life yet. One was already devoted while the other was still clueless.
They were both so different, but friends all the same. I was their friend too, but my situation was also different. I was fresh from a breakup, but not brokenhearted. I ended a relationship two months before its first anniversary, completely shattering his entire being. He begged every night for me while I set my sights on you.
At first, I wanted a distraction, someone to pour my heart out to so that I can start anew. I called, ranted and even if I knew that there was a chance you'd feel something for me, I never thought of stopping myself. I didn't want to.
You were easy to talk to and susceptible to falling in love. You looked too much on the good side and substituted the bad for excuses. You were willing to help and listen, spending hours talking to me for no particular reason.
You were so positive, a kind of love that I needed.
It was seriously like a Wattpad story.
