day after party

  It's been a couple days since the party, and from what you've seen, Hisashi's cheek has been looking better over time, you could see Hiraku was visibly upset with what he'd done, but had been getting better as well. Over all, besides Hiraku's and Hisashi's quarrel, the party was nice, thinking back to meeting Kou, talking to Katashi and dancing with Shin.
That night was also fun, being with him... you blushed at the memory.  

   You checked your texts again, checking what time you had to be at your meeting point. Yuuka had invited you to an outing with Kou to get to know him a bit better. You were slightly hesitant at first, but you obliged to the offer. You decided it would be a nice way to relax ever since the moving van finally arrived yesterday after waiting for so long.
You grabbed your typical belongings, your sketchbook, purse and apartment key, and left swiftly. Walking to the center would take a few minutes and the time Yuuka wanted you there was 2:00 pm. It was about ten til' two. You'd be on time. As you look into the distance, you see the meeting point, and two figures were standing there. You could see the figures had red and orange hair, you knew it was Kou and Yuuka.

  As soon as you were a few meters away from them, Yuuka began to wave to you.

Yuuka: "Hey (Y/n)!!" She had on her classic bright smile, Kou held a slight scowl in his face, but still waved.
You: "Hey guys, so where do you guys want to go?"
Yuuka: "Well, I know you visited the mall already with Gouro, and you've been to mostly all of the spots, so I'm trying to think of a good place for us..." Yuuka was in deep thought.
Kou: "What about the Showa No Mori park?" Yuuka face glittered at the idea.
Yuuka: "KOU YOU'RE A GENIUS!" She tackled him into a hug. Kou's face turned bright red and fidgeted slightly before finally letting her continue hugging him.

  Yuuka: "Luckily, the park isn't too far, it's an easy 15 minute walk there, but I have my car... (Y/n) which one would you rather use?"

    Yuuka: "Ok, then let's get going!" And in a flash, we left.


It was a beautiful part, flowers were everywhere and scenery could nearly take your breath away. You did many things together, marveled at the flowers, ran around in the open fields, played silly little games together. In the midst of it, an idea popped into your head.
You: "How about we play hide and seek? It'd be fun with more terrain to explore."
Yuuka: "Let's do it! I'll be the seeker, you guys can hide, I'll count to 30." With that, she ran to the nearest tree to begin counting. Kou had already taken off, so you ran to a random direction. Although her voice was faint, you could still hear her counting.

  Once you found your spot, you hid well, trying your best to keep quiet. You could hear crunches of leaves coming closer and closer to you. You held your breath, accepting your inevitable fate.
Kou: "Oh, you're already here." Looking up, you were surprised to see Kou.
You: "Have you not found a good place to hide yet?"
Kou: "No..."

  Kou leaned back and sighed.

Kou: "I... I'm sorry. I'm just not good at making friends."
You: "Yuuka's your friend, though. What about Katashi?"
Kou: "Well..... I've known Katashi for a little over a year, we slowly became friends. He can be so stone cold sometimes, not talk about anything."

  Kou: "But he's not a bad guy, he's really noble and brave. Yuuka and Katashi have been hanging out a lot recently ever since I got a new job..." You could see his face contort a little, showing some sadness in his eyes.

You: "What about Yuuka?"
Kou: "Oh her? She bugs the hell outta me! With that goofy smile and optimism. She can be so dumb sometimes, she can drive me insane! She's so... s-so..." His rant began to turn softer as a blush appeared on his face from thinking about her.
