You looked out the window, bored with a pencil in your hand and your sketchbook on the table. It was around eleven in the morning, and You were waiting for Midori to come by. He texted texted you yesterday, wanting to go to the theatres, but he didn't know what movie he wanted to see. You were thinking about what movie you wanted to see, but you weren't sure yet.

These movies are out in theatres at the moment, around from where I live. Which one of these movies would you watch?..'' war ever u love ''

He texted you that he would come pick you up at around 11:30 so you could grab a quick snack, then buy some popcorn at the movies. He was an early bird, so you expected him to arrive at least five minutes early. When you finally came up for an idea for a new project, time passed in a flash. You heard a knock on the door, you sighed and put down your pencil. You were just getting into it! You opened the door and greeted your long time friend.

You: "Hey! Let me grab my purse and we can get going." He nodded and you quickly grabbed it along with your keys and sketchbook.

The both of you walked together, not really talking. Midori stayed pleasantly silent, he spoke when you started a conversation. You found a small area filled many choices for food. Midori didn't browse much, he chose a small salad.

you:I got a salad as well.

You both sat down together at an outdoor collection of tables and chairs. You both took out your food and ate your small meal.
You: "Hey Midori."
Midori: "Yes?
You: "How have things been for you so far, living here? Do you still work where I last saw you?"
Midori: "No, I quit because I didn't like my co workers. One of them, Hiraku, was too lazy for me to work with. Now I work at a shoe store."
You: "Really? Do you specialize in dance shoes?" You joked.
Midori: "I'm one of the cashiers since I'm good at making quick calculations for change for the customers."
You: "Well, I'm glad you have a job. But I'm surprised you're working at a shoe store, that doesn't really sound like you. I thought maybe you'd be working at Kou's flower shop."
Midori: "Where are you working at the moment?"

you:  "I work at a supermarket right now!"

Midori: "Hmm... Are you working on your story right now?"
You: "Yeah, I am! I'm finally organizing the events. I've had the beginning and the end planned for so long, and a bunch of events in the middle, but now I'm finally beginning to organize them. I'm really happy about it, I'm so close, but I can't push it. I want my story to be perfect..." You could practically envision it in your mind.
Midori: "I'm here to cheer you on." He said as he took a sip of his drink. You smiled and took a sip from your cup as well.

The both of you stood up from your seats and started walking to your next destination, the theatres. Walking in, the smell of buttery popcorn filled your nostrils, and posters covered the walls, portraying movies showing at the moment. You both bought your tickets and you looked at the possible foods you would want to buy. You both decided to share a large popcorn, you bought an Icee, and Midori bought a water bottle. You both as well bought a candy.

You walked into the room your movie was playing and found good seats and began to enjoy the movie. You shoved popcorn into your face, taking sips of your Icee and took breaks to eat your candy. You didn't notice Midori wasn't watching the movie, he only stared at you intently. Once the movie ended, Midori began to stand and walk out of the theatre, waiting for you.

Both of you walked out of the movies close together.

You: "That was a really good movie! I'm glad we got to see it together."
Midori: "Me too. I liked since you were with me... (Y/n) how come we don't hang out like we used to any longer? I miss you a lot." You didn't really know how to respond, it was kind of a question out of the blue. You didn't really know a good enough answer, you've never thought about how distant you've recently become.
You: "I don't really know... I try to text you when I can. People here are getting to become my close friends now, like Katashi, Yuuka, Shin, Hisashi... so on. And I still have my job and I've been working really hard on my story. Sorry that I seem distant, I didn't know you felt that way."
Midori: "What about Kou?" Kou? What's there to be said? "What is he to you?"
