I wake up on a fluffy surface. Frowning in confusion, my eyes flutter open and I take in my surroundings. How did I get here? Usually, I have a fairly good memory, so this is a little strange for me. I place my fingers on my temple and try to remember last night. Suddenly, the memories flood back in, and I find myself wondering if it was all a dream.
I look down at my clothes and find that they were, in fact, the ones I was wearing in my "dream."
"I guess it all did happen..." I mumble to myself as I get out of bed and walk over to my closet.
As I'm rummaging through the clothes, I think over everything that happened. I remember talking to Cameron outside on my porch, and I remember watching his lips move swiftly as my eyes started to drop shut. My eyebrows furrow as I try and make out what he was saying. Shrugging, I pluck out a top and bottoms and convince myself that I could just ask Cam when I get to school.
After fixing up my appearance, I spray perfume and skip down the stairs. I'm munching on some grapes when there's a subtle knock on my door.
"Can you get that sweetie?" My mom asks from upstairs.
"Sure!"
Making my way to the door, I peek out the side window and smile. It's Cameron.
Opening the door, I wave to him. "Hey stranger."
His cheeks turn a bright pink. "Hi... Oh, and don't worry, I called Katie this time. I heard she got pissed that I'm stealing you from her."
My eyes widen. "Oh! Don't worry about it. I promised to make it up to her. We actually hung out yesterday. She wanted to see this movie so we just chilled and had a mall and movies day before you came over." I explain, my face flushed. The last thing I wanted was for him to get scared of Katie and not speak to me. It's safe to say I have a teeny-tiny crush on him... But that's all.
"No, it's fine. I get it. So, shall we go?" He asks, scratching the back of his neck.
I smile and grab my stuff that I placed next to the front door. "Yup."
"Bye mom!" I shout into the house.
I hear some sort of goodbye back before I skip my way over to Cameron's motorcycle. I take my helmet from his hands and place it on my head. Cameron hops onto the bike and I climb on after him, wrapping my arms securely around his waist.
