Chapter 5
Jayden's POV
I sat alone by the windowsill trapped in darkness. I hugged my knees closely to my chest and sobbed softly. Why the hell did she have to go???!! I shoulda appreciated her better, but no, it was too late. I can't go to her funeral its just too much pain.
A soft knock came to the door.
"Hey... can I come in?" a voice asked. I know that voice... Jake. I wiped my tears and stayed still. I just couldn't move.
"Um... j-just open the door. It isn't locked." He came in slowly, and shut the door behind him. Jake crept up close to me, and sat at my side. He looked at me with pitiful eyes, but I couldn't look back. There was no way in hell was I gonna let a vampire see me cry.
He slung his arm around my shoulder and hugged me close. Surprisingly, I hugged back. Even though I didn't know him that much, I felt safe and ... loved around him. Around a vampire...
"Come on, crying in the dark doesn't help anyone." Jake got up and dragged me along as well. I opened my mouth to protest, but before I knew it, Jake picked me up and put me over his shoulder. He carried me out into the light, and it burned my eyes. I think I sat in the dark for about 5 hours. Time flies by real fast.

Jacob's POV
Jayden felt so light. Man, it was hard seeing her this way. I wanna be her date to the ball, but I cant ask her now. Cheering her up is more important. Erm... how the hell do you cheer up a girl?? I better get her to Lily. Quick.
I dashed to Lily's room. Jayden hasn't made a sound at all so I gently put her down. I knocked on the door.
"Lily!! You there?! Need you to meet someone." I yelled, shes probably sleeping.
"Who?! I'm tryin to sleep here Jake!" she yelled back. I grinned, shes so predictable. Jayden looked at me with her cute confused look. Shes so beautiful... I wish I can comfort her.
Lily came to the door with her usual bedhead. Its freakin 2 p.m. and shes still in bed. Lily saw Jayden and her eyes widened.
"Oh! Come in!" she giggled and dragged Jayden inside and slammed the door.

Lily's POV
"Oh! Come in!" I pulled in Jayden and shut the door, leaving Jake outside. I heard his footsteps fade, which meant he's probably gone now. She really is pretty! But she needs some help, depression never helps fashion.
"Hi! I'm Lily, and you probably know Jake and Zach already. I'm here to help you in anyway." I smiled at her, and she looked weirdly at me. Maybe I was a bit loud...
"Um... hi. I'm Jayden, nice to meet you." She offered me her hand, which I gladly shook. She looked around the room, wondering where she was. That was kinda funny since its her castle anyway.
"Come on, you need to get out of the raggy thing and get ready for the day!" I grabbed Jayden's hand and walked her over to my drawer. The tailor here has some great tastes. I pulled out some black skinnies, a loose white blouse, and a set of matching underwear and bra. I held them out to her, and she hesitantly took them. I hurried her to the shower. She obeyed everything I told her to do without speaking a word.
She came back in a few minutes with her wet hair wrapped up in a towel. Then I suddenly felt my throat throb. It was burning and aching. Freakin BAD TIMING. Jayden looked at me worried.
"Hey... are you okay?" She asked, walking closer to me. No...no... she has to get away. NOW!! I dashed out the window in my room and looked for animals in the forest. I could never kill a human again. Horrible, horrible memories flooded my mind, and I sobbed softly into my palms.
