Chapter 12
Jayden's POV
Something tickled the top of my nose and I heard an annoying buzz. It was probably a fly. I swatted it away, my eyes still closed. A windy breeze brushed through the air, blowing my hair in different directions. Where am I? Sunlight went through my eyelids, causing me to open my eyes. I squinted my eyes and looked around. There I saw a sleeping Zach next to me. I remember now.
In a flash, his eyes were opened. It kind of shocked me, but I held in my gasp. He welcomed me with a sleepy smile. Then realization hit me. I SLEPT with the guy!
"Only sleeping, that's it. A little disappointed though, but..." Zach's velvet voice entered my mind. I pushed him lightly on the shoulder. He pulled me closer to him, and my head landed on his chest. I didn't pull back though.
"We should really head back now. My dad is probably looking for me again." I mumbled against his chest. Truth is that I really didn't want to go. I wanted to stay here on the grass with...with Zach...
"You really want to go back?" Zach stroked my hair, bumping into my ear occasionally. I bit down my lip. No...I thought.
"Yeah." Zach wrapped his arms around me. Then all of a sudden, I heard something vibrating in his pocket. He looked down, and pulled something out of his pocket...a phone? He checked who it was, but just pushed it back down his pocket. No one important I guess.
Zach's POV
Melanie....again. She kept on texting me all night. I sighed as I lifted Jayden to her feet. I kept a smile on as I led her to the car. I don't know why I can't read her mind now, I was able to a few minutes ago. This never happened before, I don't know what's wrong!
------------------Back at the Castle---------------
I left Jayden to go shower, but now I have some businesses to take care of. I entered the castle's garden and walked on the stone-paved pathway.
"I know your there. Why don't you come out and play?" I said, turning around to see Alexis with a hand on her hip. Her lips formed a seductive smile as she twirled her curly red hair with her free hand.
"Why are you here Alexis? You were never this annoying." She chuckled lightly, her damn sexy voice was just like a soft song.
"You know why I'm here. I won't stop Zach. I know you love me, you do too. So stop this crappy act and get over it. I'm here to claim what's mine, and that's you." She was just like a female version of me, so cocky, so arrogant.
"Leave. Now. You keep living by what you say, but you fail to see that you are all wrong. Everything. So leave now." I spoke through clenched teeth. Anger boiled inside of me. She was annoyed now too.
"Can't you see we are made for each other? It was fate that brought us together Zach! We are exactly the same, we are supposed to be together. Can you just forget the freaking past? I love you Zach." She shouted from behind me, as I walked away.
"Your girlfriend better watch out!" Her voice was filled with hatred and poison. I froze and turned back.
"You leave Jayden alone, you understand? Never touch her, speak to her, or even get near her. Do me a favor and just disappear." She half-laughed, half-scoffed, her temper was high.
"Since when do you care when I toy around with your sluts?" Alexis...just leave. I turned my back on her, and walked away, walked away from our past, walked away from our memories, walked away from...us.
