BJ and Babes again

Here is another set of cartoons featuring Lydia and her crazy poltergeist friend. The first one ("digging to Australia") is based on how I used to visualise that metaphor whenever Mum used it at the beach but the rest are ideas from my friend KwaziiCat on DeviantArt.

With the "hungry like the wolf" toon I decided that, being a good friend, Lyds would at some point have to warn BJ about his weight lines. He can be pretty greedy when it comes to beetles - and anything else! Of course, going on a diet is about the last thing Beej would agree to, so he would be bound to turn whatever advice Lydia gave him on its head...

Then there's the age-old joke where it's literally "raining cats and dogs", this time spruced up a bit featuring the cameos of some other Tim Burton characters, namely Sparky, Mr Whiskers, Zero and Scraps.

Lastly, there's a less obvious joke in which BJ makes a reference to "hanging ten", which is a mv in surfing where you stand on the edge of your board, with your ten toes hanging off. I can't help but be reminded of the unmade movie sequel which was going to be set in Hawaii and, quite frankly, would have made a poor sequel to an iconic film - the script was terrible. I'm glad they decided not to make it!
