I reckon this scenario must be taking place after some fancy event (Bruce Wayne and Commissioner Gordon are always attending them!) that these two also went to. I remember in one episode they were at a party and almost kissed, but sadly got interrupted. I must admit, I really love these two together. Both of them share an independent spirit and a loyalty to justice so it made sense that the writers made them have a relationship in Batman: The Animated Series/The New Batman Adventures.
Batgirl was easy to interpret into my style, but Nightwing was incredibly hard to draw - I think it was the angle. I'm still not certain his chest or his hairline looks right. Also, am I the only person who actually likes Dick Grayson with a mullet? I've heard lots of people say he should chop off that "ridiculous hairstyle". I suppose it wouldn't be very practical when fighting, so I can see where they're coming from. Something I don't understand, though, is how he managed to grow out his hair so quickly. I mean, he had a teddy boy hairstyle when he lived with Bruce Wayne and even if he stopped having it cut right after he quit being Robin, he couldn't have been out of Gotham for more than two years. (Batman: The Animated Series finished in 1995, The New Batman Adventures began in 1997.)
Even so, I hope you like this picture and I'm so pleased I drew the Batgirl/Nightwing logos right!
