{chapter 1}

~Maddie pov~

I woke up to a bright light coming from my window ,my eye fluttered open I sat up in bed ,and looked at the time. I screamed it was 12:00 o'clock I'm late for work.

I ran to the shower ,got dress , brush my teeth,did my makeup but not a lot ,threw my hair into a messy ponytail ,ran down stairs , grabbed an apple ,and ran to my car.

I drove fast because I couldn't afford to be late for again.If I'm late one more time my co workers are going to plan my funeral because my boss is going to kill me.

Once in the parking lot I parked the car ,and ran into the doors and put my apron on and went into the kitchen to find my boss Rhonda waiting for me.

"Where have you been?", she said. "I over slept again , please don't kill me !",I said

"I'm not going to kill you.", she said while smiling and said "if you do it again you can kiss your butt goodbye."then walked away.

I took my place at the register and the bell on the door ranged when I looked up ,I couldn't believe my eyes.
