Chapter 20: Wounds and bruises

Minsoo's pov. 

After I got the call from Eva I rushed to the place she was supposed to be. I didn't end the call and I was still listening to what was happening on the other end.

Apparently the saseangs caught her, and according to the sound they throw the phone on the floor but without ending the call. 

And it was probably the worst for me.

Because I could hear her get beaten up and moan in pain while the girls laughed mischievously.

I was powerless and the only thing I could do was run even faster.

Finally I arrived at the cinema, where she is supposed to be. I see her, on the ground and the girls around her.

"Eva!" I shout.

The girls see me and get scared and run away but I don't run after them.

Not when she's lying on the floor unconscious, her body full of cut and some more blood spreading around her head.

I rush to her side and try to wake her but she stays unconscious.

"Pleas awake up." I beg, but her eyes stay shut.

People around us starts to gather.

"Call an ambulance." I shout at them who stood there while she was getting hurt.

A woman seems shocked by my violent tone but she takes her phone out and stat dialing a number.

"Hello, there was a fight and a girl is unconscious, we really need an ambulance." She starts speaking.

"It's going to be okay, the ambulance is coming." I whisper reassuringly to Eva, but she can't hear me. "Just wait a bit more, but please, please, stay alive." I beg.

After what seems like forever I hear the ambulance and two mans rush to us and ask me what happened. I quickly tell them and then they put her on a stretcher and I climb with hem in the ambulance and we leave for the hospital.

In the car the two ambulanciers tries to bring her back to conscious and they start checking her injury on the head and the look they exchange isn't auguring any good.

"What is it?" I ask them worriedly.

"We-We'll see at the hospital, but I'm sorry but it isn't good, The injury is quite severe, the brain might have been touched."

I stare at them blankly. But she's going to be okay right? I can't think clearly and soon enough we arrive at the hospital.

The two man goes directly into the IR and I follow them. But then a doctor quickly come and check her injury "She need surgery." He says and I try to follow them but I'm stop by a nurse. 

"You can't go any further, you need to go in the waiting room, we'll keep you updated." She tells me calmly. 

I watch Eva been taken away and I stay there, motionless, and a nurse eventually come and take some gently to the waiting room and I fall on a chair.

I take my head in my han and wait.

And wait....

I don't know why but I feel guilty, like it was my fault. I couldn't predict anything, but I should have been with her, prevent her from walking alone in the streets. But I thought she would be with Sehun so she would be safe. 

He was supposed protect her.

I gave up on her, because I thought she would be happy with him, but instead she's on the edge of death.
