your arms are around me; I am enveloped in your warm embrace,
in our safe sanctuary; our place of refuge.
the blankets hide the past
I can feel the rise and fall of your chest
so close to me I could trace patterns on your soft skin
the air smells like you,
I am just where I am meant to be.
and so, entangled like stars,
we drift off into the Milky Way, together in separate dreams
until I wake up.
