// some interesting things I found out while doing a little research for this poem; snowdrops grow in the last patches of winter's snow, and are symbolic of "spring is coming" as they are some of spring's first flowers! they carry meanings of rebirth, hope and a bright future. Anyway, the poem: //
on the coldest days
when i feel like giving up
you effloresce, simple, capturing my gaze
so beautiful that you illuminate my eyes,
blossoming like glimmers of hope between the cracks of the ice
reminding me so warmly
that brighter days await
on this mountain's other side,
that in doing so,
you help thaw out the cold
and you bring the springtime.
