I want to pick stars and entwine them in your hair
until your celestial glow is so incandescent
that there will be no need for streetlamps;
you radiate sufficient light to illuminate the dark Earth we inhabit.
I have seen your heart, and it sparkles like a hidden galaxy waiting to be discovered.
I would treasure, cherish and keep it safe with all I have,
But alas, I cannot love you,
And I can only see you in my dreams, so
All I can do is hope the people around you know how fortunate they are
That each and every day, they're close enough to touch a star.
