'the world's greatest country' chose the world's worst man to lead it.
at the mere sound of his name,
millions of hearts, oceans apart, sank like stones into the deep.
it seemed that the world darkened. stars and streetlights and shining eyes flickered out - momentarily.
and yet, despite everything, the existence of people so inherently beautiful restores my faith in humanity.
American streets set alight with love, battling hate like it always has,
like it always will until it conquers.
and it will.
men, women, children,
united heartbeats shout for the right to love. for the right to be equal. regardless of who they love, or the pigment in their skin, or the religion they belong to, or the gender they identify as.
this is the revolution. we are redefining beauty as we know it. we are finally recognising the diversity of humanity and the equality which it should be accompanied by, unquestionably.
one man of pure evil, without a trace of a heart, cannot defeat millions of hearts brimming with love. we are strong, and united, and beautiful. the voices of minorities fighting for equality will be heard in even the most infinitely love-deprived voids, and we will scream and shout and sing until our voices are valued, listened to, and of equal importance in society. this is a promise we silently make as we clasp hands and fight together.
one man of pure darkness cannot obliterate a phenomenal galaxy filled with strong, luminous stars, moons and planets.
support your brothers and sisters. no matter who they love. no matter what they believe. no matter what country they are from, or the colour of their skin. no matter what gender they are. you can join us on the ship sailing towards a brighter sunrise.
or you can be left to drown in the ocean of hate we are fighting against.
hatred is a choice. love is human nature.
