Chapter 15

I stared  at Bella, her eyes were dead serious. How could she believe that? How could she believe that some dummy is the cause of the problems? That's just insane! I started to giggle, Bella glared hard at me. Eventually  I began laughing my head of. It was a joke. But after a while I noticed Bella was still glaring at me, causing me to stop laughing.

"Come on Bella" Please tell me you were joking about Slappy?" I asked her, still sort of laughing. I gulped as she shook her head at me. "I'm not joking Lucy, Anna told me" she said, her eyes we're still serious. "Your dumb doll told you that Slappy has been doing all these horrible things?" I asked her, just cheeking I was hearing things right. "I know it sounds crazy but-" "Bella it is crazy!" I said cutting in. "Slappy isn't alive Bella, I knew you would say something crazy like this."

Bella crossed her shoulders angrily, "I knew you wouldn't believe me" she said Crossley. She got off the bed and stormed out of the room, leaving me alone in her room. I can't believe her, she really believed  that Slappy! a dummy was alive and  was causing all of this stuff to happen, Did she really expect me to believe me? Yeah right.

I left the room and went into my bedroom to call Amanda I needed someone to talk to. I grabbed my phone from my bag and dialled Amanda's number. I waited for a few minutes until she picked up. "Hello?" she said. "Hey Amanda, it's Lucy" I said, trying to sound cheerful. We talked and talked for a bit, then I told her the stupid story Bella told me about Slappy. "Wow, that's some story" she said amazed. I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, and she expected me to believe that" I said unhappily. "Can you believe it?"

She was silent for minute, I scoffed, breaking the silence. "Come on, please don't tell me you believe her?" I asked her, I heard her gulp. "

"Well Lucy, Bella isn't the kind of person who would make up a story like this" she said uneasily. I scoffed, "What about her saying Anna is alive thing?" I asked her, hoping she would be on my side. I heard her sigh heavily, "She's been saying that ever since she got that doll" she admitted. "She would of stopped saying that ages ago."

I couldn't believe it. "Yeah... I guess..." I said unhappily. Their was a long silence between us, till finally Amanda said "I've got to go".  "My dad want me for something."  I nodded. "Ok, I've gotta go to, I'll see you later, bye." "Bye." I hanged up.

It's like everyone isn't listening to me anymore I thought angrily, First Bella makes up some stupid story about Slappy being alive, and now my best friend is starting to believe her, such good friends. After a few minutes by myself, I went downstairs and went into the garage to grab my green bike I got last Christmas.
Our garage is really messy, it's mainly full of of garden stuff, of course me and Bella's bikes are in their, Bella's bike is bright pink with golden stars on it, I know, it's very kiddish. It's an obstacle course just to get to them, their not to far away from the garage door, but of course, like I said its an obstacle course.
Carefully, i quickly grabbed my bike and my helmet and began riding down the street, towards the park, which is not too far away from my house. As I rode into the park, I recognised a few of the kids from my school, some of them are in my classes. Some of them were playing on the play equipment, playing football, swinging on the swings or just chatting to each other. Then I noticed someone I recognised, can you guess who it was? Yep, it was Charlotte, she was hanging out with her friends, they sort of make fun of me, but nothing like what Charlotte does, obviously.
She definitely noticed me, I could see her glaring hard at me. Instantly, I bolted out of the park, I didn't look back. She would of probably had made fun of me or something. I continued to ride my bike to the shops for a bit, then I headed back home.
It was 5:30 when I got home, I put my bike against the garage and went inside. I found mum, dad and Bella sitting in the lounge room, mum and dad looked so serious and grim. Bella looked very nervous.
"What's going on?" I asked, I was so confused. "Take a seat Lucy" Mum said sternly. I gulped as I sat next to Bella on the couch.
"Now, do you know why you are both here?" She asked, crossing her arms. Me and Bella looked at each other nervously. She was talking about mum missing engagement ring. We both turned back to mum and nodded, something told me this was not going to be good.
"Things don't just go missing just like that, and I am pretty sure that one of you two stole it" she hissed. "I didn't do it" I blurted out. Mum instantly looked Bella, raising her eyebrows. "I didn't steal it." "Why would I?" Mum began to have watery eye, "Do you guys think it's funny?" She said, her voice trembling. "But mum! Neither of us did it" I said angrily. Dad shook his head at us. "Yeah mum, we're not the kind of kids to do this" Bella insisted. Mum shook her head as well.
"I agree with your mother, this isn't funny girls" dad said unhappily. I looked at them shocked, they we're both 100% sure that one of us had stolen mum's ring! That's just ridiculous. Me and Bella aren't troublesome kids, we're actually pretty good ones. We would never do this to mum ever!

"Well someone had to have done it" mum said, after she had finished crying. I scoffed, "I can't believe you guys would think we would do something like this!" I growled angrily as I sat up from the couch. Before anyone could stop me, I stormed out of the room. It was just too much for me! I eventually headed to the kitchen, I needed to have a drink or something. However, I never got a drink, because the minute I stepped in the archway of the kitchen, I stopped and screamed in horror.
