Chapter 24

The next morning, dad drove me and Bella to an abandoned ale near the stores. Dad had put Slappy's case in the boot. After we defeated Slappy, dad had put Slappy back in his case. Bella scrunched up the card with the magic words and put it in with Slappy. I managed to get mum's engagement ring back and gave it back to her, Mum was vet happy to have it back.

Like always, we all drove in silence until dad parked the car near the shops. We all got out and dad unlocked the boot.Dad had put lots of chains and locks on Slappy's case. I grabbed the case by the handle and got it out of the car.

The 3 of us walked into the ale, making sure that no one watching us. The entire ale was filled with junk! just garbage all over the place, a perfect hiding place to hide a living dummy.

We went to the back of the ale, where there was a lot more garbage and trash there, "You'll never hurt my family again" I whispered to the case, "Ever!" I threw the case into a pile of trash and the 3 of us beg to cover it up as best as we could until we couldn't see it anymore.

Then, we silently walked back to the car and Dad drove us back home. On the way back, a lightbulb went off in my head, I know what I can write my English homework. When we got home, I went straight to the study, I had a lot of writing to do.

I wrote about everything that had happened this week with Slappy, I probably would fail my homework but I didn't care about that anymore, I had to write this.

After I finished the draft, I got on my mum's old type writer and began typing away. I finished my book at lunchtime, After I finished I went downstairs and into the kitchen. Mum and Bella were in the kitchen making sausages for lunch.

"Hey Lucy" Mum said. "Hey mum, hey Bella" I said with a small smile, "how long till lunch is ready?" Mum looked down at her watch, "10 minutes" She replied. I went back up to the study, I grabbed my written work from the typewriter and placed them neatly in the right order.

Then I grabbed a blank piece of paper and began to think of a title for the story. I kept staring down at my plank piece of paper. I couldn't think of a title, nothing came to mind at all!

Just when I was about to give up, a lightbulb went off in my head. I had figured out what the story should be called! Before I could write it down, Bella came in. "Lunch is ready" She said. "Coming" I replied. She left the room and went downstairs.

I grabbed my pencil and titled my story "The Forever Bride of The Living Dummy."
