Chapter 16

I gazed at the kitchen, shocked and horrified. I could hear footsteps running into the kitchen. I glanced over my shoulder to see mum, dad and Bella standing behind me.
"What happened?" Mum asked, her face was filled with confusion. I didn't answer, I just pointed to the kitchen, my finger twitching.

The entire kitchen was trashed, all of the cupboards we're wide open and what was in the hanged on the edge. Flour was spilled across the floor, what was meant to be our dinner was spread across the floor, and their on the kitchen bench was Slappy, watching us with that eerie grin of his. "How did this happen?" was all mum could say, her voice a bit shaken.

"It wasn't me and !" I blurted out, "I was out on a bike ride." "And it wasn't me" Bella insisted, "I've been in my room this afternoon." Mum didn't say anything, she just looked at the mess of the kitchen. I looked at Slappy, his legs were dangling off the edge on the counter. Who put him their?

Everyone helped clean up the mess in the kitchen, we had to have take away for dinner. I felt so bad for Mum and Dad, first mum's ring goes missing now dinner was ruined. It must of been hard for them.

After dinner, Me and Bella went for a walk, just to clear our heads from everything that had happen. "I can't believe dinner was ruined" I grumbled as we walked, the street lamps guiding our way. Bella nodded, "Slappy was their as well" she added. I knew what she was going to say, "What happened in the kitchen doesn't prove what you said earlier" I reminding her, She crossed her arms, "I'm telling you the truth, Lucy" Bella insisted, "When have I ever lied to you?"

We both stopped for a minute, I thought for a bit. She was right, she has never lied to me in my life before, and I didn't see why she would choose to lie now. "I guess your right" I admitted, "But I still don't believe you about Slappy." She frowned for a bit "Fine Lucy... But don't say I didn't warn you." We both continued our walk around our Neighbourhood until we felt like we had to go back home.

It was pretty dark when we both got back, Mum and dad we're a bit worried about us, but we told them we we're fine. Me and Bella went to the study and played computer games with each other for half and hour until we got bored. We both ended up watching TV for bit until I got tired. I went into my room, got changed into my pjs and went to bed.

That night I had a bad dream. I was at school with Amanda and Bella at night, We we're walking around the hallways, trying to figure a way out when Jimmy o' James came out of nowhere. "Mr Jimmy o' James?" I asked him surprised, "What are you doing here?" H kept breathing in and out deeply. "I told you Lucy" he said in a low voice, "I told you to get rid of the dummy, and now he's after us!" Before any of us could ask him anything else, he ran off, leaving us al alone again. After he left, we began to hear giggling , it echoed through the whole school.

It really frightened us, then we saw a shadow on the wall, we didn't run, we didn't scream We just waited for who ever it was to show themselves. And he did, he stood at the end of the hallway, looking at us. Slappy. None of us said anything, then he spoke, grinning, "I told you Lucy, I want my bride!" He leaned his head back and laugh a horrible and ugly laugh.

Then I woke up, staring at the ceiling. I kept breathing in and out slowly, until I had finally calmed down. It's ok Lucy, theirs nothing to be afraid of. But that wasn't true, because when I sat up from the bed, I saw Slappy sitting at the end of the bed, looking at me.
