Finn's Mystery girl>>>>>>>>

"The basement you can hide there" my mom said breathlessly so I hurried to the kitchen and pulled the torn rug to reveal a hatch that led to the basement before I could open it my mother rushes to me and puts one had on my cheek.

"Finn I need you to listen carefully, are you listening?" I nodded my head quickly focusing my eyes on my mother’s dull and worn ones. I knew those eyes have been through hell and back.

"You need to promise me no matter what happens out here you will not come out of that basement. Do you understand me?"

“I understand mother." I whispered back. She gave a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes like they usually did. I lowered myself into the basement.

"I love you." her broken voice spoke as she pulled the rug back over the basement hatch. The basement was damp and smelt of mold not my ideal stay I must say. That's when I heard the front door swing open and hard heavy footsteps stomping on the creaky wood floors then suddenly stop.

"This is a raid I need to see all identification stat. Any resistance will not be tolerated."  Through a little space in the flooring I could see my mother, father, Kai, and Asher hand them their identification papers as he snatched them all in his greedy fat fingers.

"So this is the Lancing family" he gave a breathless laugh and steadily pointed his finger at my mother’s face.

"And you’re the bitch that gave birth to that Rat." At that my father’s always cool personality snapped, he took a quick step forward with his fist in the air "Why you bastard-" my mother put a gentle hand on my father’s chest and he immediately regained his calm.

"Now dear let’s not be rash." I could tell her voice was struggling to stay leveled.

"That's what I thought" the Cult spoke.

"Hey boy you’re not part of this house hold so what the hell are you doin here." oh no this isn't good. Asher was never good at lying. He took a deep breath to steady and collect his thoughts.

"I expect an answer when I ask a question boy!" Asher and the Cult were now chest to chest.

"I was paying Mr. and Miss. Lancing a visit when the raid on call went off." this was nothing like the Asher I knew at all. He was to calm and collected something had definitely changed.

“And this was the nearest house so I came here.” He continued.

But what he said next surprised me the most.

"I mean after all they had just lost their son to you Cults you son of a bicth!" He yelled and the Cult quickly pulled out his gun and hit him with the butt of his gun as he collapsed to the floor blood spilling from his hair line. He carefully placed his hand to the gash. The look in the Cult’s eyes said he wanted Asher more than just hurt...but dead.

And the Cult raised his gun towards Asher’s chest.

I had to do something. I couldn't just sit here like a wuss while I watch the people I care about take the shock because of me. Then the voice came again in my head, but stronger and commanding.

‘You can feel it coursing through your veins can't you? Just let it take over.

Let the beast out

Let it KILL’

I saw my mother yell trying with her measly muscles to fend him off, but the Cult just threw her to the floor like she was weightless.
