After another awkward few minutes,  Hero came back downstairs with thankfully clean clothes. She sat down at the dinner table and we continued eating. After a EXTREMELY awkward few minutes of my father glaring daggers at Hero he finally said, "So you're his...roommate?"
Hero looked up from eating all the food at the dinner table, "Uh yeah. Why do you ask?"
With the subtlety of a neon billboard he said, "Are you trying to kidnap my son?" Everyone looked up from eating, and stared at him. Hero stared him straight in the eye.
"Why in the fiery lands of the Nether would I do that?"
"LIAR!" my father said, getting up from his chair, "So you haven't been planning with your father to kidnap and/or kill my son?"
"Actually I haven't spoken to my father since my mother died." She glared at him. He glared at her. I knew if I didn't do something soon they were going to start shooting lasers out of their eyes or something. I stood up quickly.
"Uh Hero can I please talk to you?"
"Fine." Hero said. I practically dragged her out of the kitchen. I slammed the door. I looked at her.
"Could you PLEASE calm down? You're only are making an awkward dinner even more awkward."
Hero looked like she was going to beat me up, then go inside and beat my father up, too. But, miraculously, it seemed like all the anger drained right out of her. "Fine." she said through her teeth.
"Thanks," I said, "My dad doesn't...play around when he's upset. I really don't want you to get hurt."
Hero rolled her eyes, "Whatever." She went back into the dining room. Allister glared at her across the table, but she ignored him. He opened his mouth to say something, but before he could the doorbell rang. This time Hero went up to get it. As soon as she opened the door, I knew things were going to get WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more awkward. Herobrine stepped inside holding a bag. "Hey honey, I got your ba- ALLISTER?!." He dropped the bag on the floor. "HOW DARE YOU COME HERE!"
We all knew things were about to get real.
