Hero and I were watching TV, when we heard Sparky's dog barking like crazy.
"Ugh I'm going upstairs to see what's going on" Hero said.
We both went upstairs to see Sparky in a dress with her dog playfully jumping around her.
"Whoa someone is ready to go out on a night on the town. Sparky got nervous and played with her hair. "No I'm going to the festival with Wes." she said.
Hero leaned against the door and smiled. "Just don't make out. I have a bad feeling about that guy."
Sparky rolled her eyes,"Whatever Mom. Wait what?"
The smile slid off her face,"Uh...nothing" Sparky shrugged.
"Mom, when is my curfew" she joked.
I played along. "8 o'clock sharp. You better be here, missy."
Sparky rolled her eyes again. "My parents are soooo annoying"
"We're not annoying" Hero and I said at the same time. "I'm just looking out for you. If he hurts you in any way, bring him to me" she cracked her knuckles, threateningly.
"Wow someone sounds like their father" Sparky said. Me and her both laughed.
"Whatever" Hero said. "But I'm serious. You can talk to me whenever you need to."
"Ok let's talk about feeding my dog this time" Sparky said staring straight at Hero.
"It's not my fault. I never had a pet before."
Sparky' s dog rubbed his head on her leg. Sparky scratched his head. "It's OK little buddy" Just them, the rang. "Hello? Is Sparky here?"
"That must be Wes" Sparky said. She went downstairs and opened the door.
Wes stared at her. "Wow. You look beautiful."
Sparky blushed. Hero suddenly grabbed Wes' tie and said,"Listen here, smart guy. If you touch in a inappropriate place, or break her heart, or anything else, I will hunt you down. Got it?" Wes nodded scared.
Sparky rolled her eyes. "Hero put him down."
I burst out laughing. "Haha this is amazing"
"L-let's go babe" Wes said, while pulling Sparky out the door. I looked at Hero. "You make a really good mom"
She glared at me. "Shut up"
