Deep breaths, you can do this
Sting took one last deep breath before raising his knuckle and knocking on the door. He stood for what felt like an hour but was really only a single minute before the door opened to reveal Rogue.
Sting stared for a full minute before actually saying something.

"Um Rogue I was wondering if I could ask you a question." Sting managed to say without messing up in the slightest. Rogue only nodded with a confused expression on his face.
"Alright well here goes nothing, Rogue will you go on a date with me tonight?" Sting asked with a sudden confidence filling inside of him.
Rogue seemed taken aback at the question but a slight smile appeared on his face before he nodded.
"Yes, I'd like that a lot," Rogue said and Sting couldn't help but grin.
"Awesome, what time is good for you?" Sting questioned and Rogue shrugged.
"I don't really do much so anytime is good."
"How is eight?"
"Eight is good, I guess I'll see you tonight then."
"I guess you will." Sting then said goodbye before turning around and starting to walk.
It was currently 4pm so he had four hours to set up everything and make himself look somewhat presentable.

Rogue looked up at the clock again and saw it had only been a minute since he last looked. Only ten minutes left until the date. His heart was pounding, he couldn't believe he was going on a date with the guy he had a crush on and he didn't even have to do it, not that he'd have anyway.
Rogue then looked down at himself and started to wonder if he looked ok. He went semi-formal, just jeans and a black dress shirt.
He looked up again and saw that there was only a few minutes left to go, well that was if he arrived dead on time which he somehow doubted.
There was then a knock on his door. So he was early instead.
Rogue got up and opened the door to reveal Sting, who was thankfully dressed in a similar manner to himself except he actually managed to wear a tie correctly.
"Ready to leave?" Sting asked, wearing that beautiful smile of his.
"Ready as I'll ever be I guess," Rogue responded before stepping out and closing the door.
"Let's go then."

Sting was feeling pretty confident about this date going well. It was all set up and ready to wow.
It was actually pretty simple but it took forever to set up, he had to get Natsu's help otherwise he wouldn't have had enough time to get ready physically.
Sting lead Rogue down the road to the beach, it was the best spot for their evening activity.
The sun was now just beginning to set which cast a beautiful shade of amber across the sand and ocean.
"Wow, this is really gorgeous Sting," Rogue said looking at Sting, a look of awe in his eyes.
What Sting had set up was a bunch of lights strung between some trees and had some speakers and a stereo set up and had a large mat set up in the middle of it all. What was more fun and romantic than dancing in the light of the setting sun and then under the light of the moon and fairy lights?
"Thank you, it took forever because the lights kept falling out and then Natsu swore he could lift the two speakers on his own but obviously couldn't and so we had to lug them down here and it took forever in the end but I'd say it was worth it," Sting explained.
"Definitely worth it."

The night was spent dancing together until it was very late and everyone had gone to sleep.
Sting could've done it all night but of course all good things had to end at some point didn't they?
"Sting thank you for tonight, I think this has been the best night of my entire life," Rogue said, as the final song ended. They didn't stop dancing though.
"Really?" Sting asked genuinely surprised. He'd created his best night in just a few hours? Score.
"I mean my crush asks me out and then goes through hours of preparation and nobody's ever done something so nice for me."
"Well I was just as pleased that you agreed if I'm completely honest," Sting admitted, this too had been his best night.
"Well I guess this is the end of the night huh?"
"Not just yet," Sting said before leaning in and kissing Rogue, he was very happy that Rogue had kissed back almost immediately.
After pulling away Sting grinned at the now smiling Rogue.
"Will you do me the honour of being my boyfriend Rogue?"
"Yes."

That was definitely the best night of his life.

Hello! I hope this was good but I'm afraid to say that I think I'll be ending it on the next chapter. I'm sorry but as I said before I've started to lose motivation for this so I figured I'd end it before the motivation completely disappeared and I ended up abandoning it so I guess until next time! ^^ Thanks for sticking around even when I take forever to update!
