Hi guys!
This chapter is a bit messy and I just wanted to warn you that I won't be writing directly on the funeral. I'll write before, a tiny bit during and then after.
I have missed out some bits deliberately because they're a bit boring but the next chapter will be much better!
Thanks for reading!
-The Author xBrooke-
I get off at Heathrow and see Jack straight away. I sprint up to him and jump into his arms.
"I missed you so much!" I say with a squeal and he puts me down.
"Missed you too." He says with a smile and we walk to get my bag.I get knocked to Emily's floor and I laugh in what feels like forever.
"We missed you so much." Emily says and the four of us sit up straight.
"I missed you guys too. But I should probably get ready now." I get up and Jack and James leave so me and Emily can get ready. James was ready when I got here and Jack was ready at the airport.I put on a black dress and my black heels. I don't bother retouching my makeup and put my hair in a messy bun.
--------------------
I hate funerals. There's no point in them. It's only going to make you cry anyway. We can do that at home.
But right now I need to go. I get out of the car and the four of us walk towards the crowd of people.
Everyone is here. Work colleagues, friends, neighbours, my dad.
I haven't seen him since I was 15. I don't plan on talking to him.
So I suck it up and walk to the front row.I take the cookie dough ice cream from Emily's freezer and get a teaspoon.
"Peter Pan or Shrek?" Emily asks holding both DVD's up.
"Peter Pan." I say without hesitation, James and Jack toll they're eyes and groan.
"Can't we watch something good?" James asks and I collapse in the sofa.
"After Peter Pan we can." Emily says and puts the DVD on. But all I can think about is how the last last time I saw my dad was two years ago and he didn't even try to speak to me today.---------
"Bye." I say into Jack's collar and let go eventually.
"I'm gonna miss you so much." He says and ruffles my hair. I give him one last hug and make my way to the plane."Thanks for coming." I say to Ryan as I get into his car.
"No problem." He starts driving and I clear my throat just to make the awkward silence less awkward. "How was it?"
"Well, it wasn't fun." I say and instantly regret it. Ryan has picked me up at the airport and this is how I repay him. "Sorry." I say quickly.
"Don't worry." He parks the car outside my house and we both get out. Ryan gets my bag out of his boot and puts it at my foster house's doorstep.
"Do you want to come in?" I blurt out and feel my cheeks getting hot.
"Do you want me to?" Oh my Lord.
"Ryan." I say, a smile appearing on my face. He chuckles and we walk in."Brooke!" Belle says as I close the door behind me and I give her a big smile.
"Hi! This is Ryan." I say awkwardly and Belle shakes his hand.
"Well, make yourself at home, Ryan!" Belle shoos us to the living room and we sit on the couch watching TV.
"I like you too." I say halfway during some action film. Ryan' s head whips round to face me and I suddenly regret saying it. He probably doesn't like me anymore. Probably never did. But before I can take it back, Ryan's lips are on mine.
It's perfect. Our lips move in sync and I don't want to sound cheesy but it's like fireworks going off.
"Brooke, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yes." Officially the cheesiest moment of my life.
