Brooke-

Spending the night tossing and turning isn't good for you - that's what I discovered when I spent the night doing exactly that.
The text never left my mind, who could it be?
There's no way it's Joe. It's impossible. What does the note even mean? I get that something will happen at three. But, there isn't a bell in this house. Is there?

But my worrying and stressing has to be put aside when Gabby waltzes into the living room where I've been sitting for 2 hours.
"Good morning, Brooke!" Gabby is shining and radiating happiness. Weird.
"Erm, hi?" I question as she pours two cups of coffee. "Oh, I don't-" before I finish politely turning down the coffee, she waltzes out of the room with both cups of coffee.

"What's with her?" Ryan asks as he walks in.
"She's way too happy. And got 2 cups of coffee." I wiggle my eyebrows at him hoping he'll catch on.
"Well, what're we waiting for? Let's go investigate." Ryan grabs my arm and we tiptoe our way to Gabby's room. Throwing the door wide open and poking his head through, revealing Gabby and Harvey well... getting it on. The door hits the wall making a big thud. Gabby screams and a giggle escapes me.
"Oh shit." They say in unison and Ryan chuckles.
"When were you going to tell us?" He laughs and Harvey looks at Gabby as if to ask her.
"Get out!" Gabby shouts at us, slamming the door in our faces.
"I don't think she liked that." I whisper to Ryan. We make our way to the kitchen to find everyone watching us.
"What?" I question them.
"What was that scream? Sounds like someone's dying." Ryan and I look at each other. Should we tell them? No.

"Um, nothing. Brooke just hit her head but she's fine now." Ryan adds a chuckle at the end and pats my head. "But if you're feeling better, I need to talk to you." He whispers to me with a serious look on his face, it's kind of new to me.
Ryan leads me away from everyone and outside, sits down next to me and looks me dead in the eye.

"This isn't working, so I think we should just stop." At this moment all I do is smile, no matter how weak it is. I meet his gaze and it kills me.
"Okay," Is all I can muster right now. Where did all of this come from? I didn't see it coming.
"Great! Well, have a nice day." He flashes me a smile, the smile that used to make me fall for him again every time I looked at it. But all I want now is to cry everything I had in me. But I don't because I can't show him that he hurt, because that would mean he wins.
But as soon as he was through the door and I could hear him inside, I let every tear escape.
